Whoever is reading this right now please know that this place made my trip to be the best trip I could imagine for! I liked this place and Daniel (the owner) so much that I wished I could move and live there with him. I felt so relaxed the moment I got there and afterwards even in Nirvana 😎! Please trust me and book the place! Its a place of relaxation, smiles (he has the best kid that made me wanna smile all the time) and good vibes only! Oh oh and the food is a big big wow!! Daniel has a great kitchen 🤙🏻

Only negatives might be the sharp tiles in the pool (which Daniel did kindly warn us about. We didn’t eat in the restaurant as it seemed a little pricey Helped us with a laundry service but this was very expensive compared to what we’d paid elsewhere in SL, although our fault for not checking the price first. The restaurant was above our room which meant some noise of chairs dragging across the floor. Probably not an issue for most but if you had a light sleeping baby or child it might be!

Lovely new hotel Spacious rooms with new furniture & nice balconies overlooking the pool. Great location short distance into Ahanagama by scooter or Tuk tuk (not a great road to walk down) Lovely helpful owner.

Nothing. Although 25 mins walk to Ahangama you can easily pick up a Tuk Tuk and it only takes 5 mins.

We had an amazing stay, the facilities were perfect - a lovely big pool and rooftop area. The room was clean and spacious with lovely views over the garden and pool. The staff were so warm and friendly and on hand all the time. Daniel was extremely helpful. The food was also very good.

It’s a new stylish hotel with just a few rooms, so it’s really quiet. Lovely garden with swimming pool, very tasty food! And especially the family of owners and the crew is the best part of a great experience.

Although the place was very new, there were some small things already in need for repair.

Daniel was a very warm, welcoming and friendly host who also cooks some impressive dishes in the restaurant upstairs, loved the hummus and turkish eggs for breakfast! The room had everything it needed, and nice setting. There was a nice pool as well.

Would be handy to have bigger bottles of water available or a water filter in the reception area as can’t drink tap water.

It was soo luxurious and peaceful. 3 minutes away in a Tuk Tuk to the strip of restaurants etc. The staff were soo accommodating and friendly. Perfect combination of a hotel and bnb.

I had an incredible stay at Dharma Place in Ahangama! Daniel, the owner, was absolutely amazing—always super nice, helpful, and ready to assist with anything I needed. He truly went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were equally wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and always with a smile. The entire place has such a calming vibe, and I couldn’t help but notice how everything smelled so fresh and lovely. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, a perfect way to start the day. The pool is fantastic, a great spot to relax, and the whole environment is so peaceful and quiet, ideal for unwinding. I can’t recommend Dharma Place enough if you’re looking for a tranquil and pleasant stay in Ahangama. I’ll definitely be back!

What an amazing and relaxing time I had at Dharma Place for three days! Daniel, the owner, is really kind and very available if you need anything. He was kind to book a taxi for me to the airport in Negombo and provided great surf school and wine recommendations right away. The room was really comfortable and spacious overlooking the nice swimming pool. The hotel is walking distance from restaurants, beaches, massage places and shops. Staff is very professional and friendly. I definitely recommend to stay here ! Thank you for everything

Wonderful place to stay when visiting Ahangama. Just outside the centre of Ahangama and only a 10-minute walk from the beach. Nice rooms, good beds and great atmosphere. Staff is friendly and accurate. I will definitely visit this cozy hotel again.
