Bed was so so comfy, the room was spacious and the bathroom was very clean. Hosts were excellent and were so accommodating.

We did not have AC in the room and so it was quite warm at night and the mosquito net made the bed slightly claustrophobic.

We booked the accommodation very spontaneously, and the check-in process was smooth and easy.

The location was good.

We did not receive the WiFi password. We sent a message to the host requesting for the WiFi password but there was no reply regarding the WiFi even after checkout. The sheets were stained too.

30000 rupiest were stolen from my locked room Owner insisted on closing windows at night so I did not have a healthy sleep

Very nice place to stay in Unawatuna and super close to all the facilities. Still worth it to have a motorbike (if you know how to drive one) to explore the surroundings. The owners are super nice and always ready to help with anything you might need 🙏🏼 the property is located right on the side of the main road but you won’t hear a lot of noise during the night.

If you travel to Sri Lanka during the end of the dry season of the beginning of the rainy season it could be a bit too hot to sleep with only a fan since there’s no AC in the room. Apart from that, nothing to mention.

We had a wonderful time at Dev House! The hosts are the most sweet and helpful people ever. They helped us to secure our tuktuk for the night in front of their shop. They also helped me out when I got water in my phone so they gave me salt and offered rice. The room is very comfortable and also very private since they only offer one room. It was a perfect stay!

The location is very close to the beach.on the way to the beach,the street has a lot of restaurants and shops nearby.the owner is kind,helpful and a lovely person.bus stop is just next to the hotel room to go to colombo or down to the south.

Good location on the main road in Unawatuna but set far enough back not to notice the traffic noise

The owners were the most lovely people and went out of their way to make our stay better and even gave us their personal umbrella to escape the rain. The room is basic but that was expected considering the price.

I had the most wonderful stay at Dev House in Anawatuna! The place is run by a lovely mom and her mother, who are the sweetest and most attentive hosts you could hope for. They went above and beyond to make our stay special – from keeping our bags safe after check-out to helping us catch the right bus to our next destination. The room was super comfortable. Everything was impeccably clean, and the value for money is fantastic. If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming place to stay, I can’t recommend Dev House enough!

Spotlessly clean homestay run by a lovely mother/daughter duo. I was worried there could be traffic noise being on a main road but room is at the back of the house and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and extra large (king sized).

The location was perfect, in walking distance to the main area. The room was beautiful and clean with a huge bed, such good value for a cheap price! The hosts were amazing , very helpful . Would definitely recommend this property.

The host family were absolutely beautiful and friendly, and happy to cook you a meal any time.

Our stay was excellent!! The room is clean and spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The owner was lovely and so helpful. There is only one room so you have complete privacy. The location is excellent, at the top of the Main Street so it is less than 10 minutes walk to the beach but you are away from the busy areas. Location was absolutely perfect!! We were originally worried about not having any A/C however the fan worked well and we kept the windows open to keep fresh air in. The mosquito net is a helpful addition. You have hot water, and plenty of space. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend to anyone! Particularly given the very good value!

What a lovely place to stay! I only booked one night but decided to stay longer after I met the hosts - such lovely and accommodating people. I also bought a shirt from their tailor shop. Bed super comfortable, all amenities available. Recommend staying here!
