For the price paid, can't really complain. We had working AC and hot water but the accommodations are run down. I know about damage and maintenance for homes by the sea. The hosts seem kind but the property needs better upkeep. The nicest was the exterior. Inside, everything was worn. Smelled damp. Needs fresh coat of paint and some furniture upgrades. Amazing location right on Hikkaduwa beach. A couple min walk and you're at the famous spot for swimming with the large sea turtles!

Would have loved if they did some small renovations in the rooms, though. The last time I checked in, they allowed to use the small cooking place, to make a cup of tea, to cook some food. Now they don't allow it anymore. Which is a real disappointment. Would have said ideal for budget travelers. Also missed the hammocks that were hanging previously.

Loved the calm and quiet atmosphere that the place offers. Friendly guy who handled the place. The place gives a very cozy feeling. It is very free and nice for a holiday. The cost is okay for a night.

Cleanliness was not to optimum as there was a mild dust smell in the room. Since there was no restaurant or kitchen we couldn't get a morning Tea

There wasnt a blanket to cover while sleeping (apart from the sheet of the bed ) , You cant drink the water that is coming out from the taps in the room you've to pay extra for the water bottles, Every room isnt equipped with balconies even tho we asked for a room with balcony we got a room in the basement . Sanitary : the soap was so tinny for two people.

No sound proofing from the storm, in particular the roof. The door handle lock needs to be fixed and the wall lamp. Bedside tables would be helpful. Restaurant only available to staff.

Perfect location to swim with the turtles. The staff were attentive and welcomed me with a drink. The heritage building with tall wooden ceilings and doors and stone floor made an interesting stay and was comfortable and clean with good hot shower. Would have stayed longer.

An ancient sri lankan traditional vip house which is innovated in to a guest house lately . Literally located just next to the beach .and busy tourism environment and among many leading hospitality brands. Love the location and views

The venue is very old and needs a total refurbishment, rooms are very dirty, bed is very old literally cracks whenever you move, bedsheets are torn, dirty and i saw some blood stains on the edges. They need to renovate it as literally i felt like i was in a mansion or old prison

It's a very nice place right on the sea shore with direct access to the sea. It's a few minutes walk to the Hikkaduwa main reef so a very good place to stay if you surf The personnel were extremely friendly in a very sincere way. Difficult not to like them. They spoke good enough English so there were no communication problems.

We didn’t get the room we booked. Ours was adequate, and (until it broke) had a great shower. Shame we had to cannibalise the 3rd bed for slats to fix our one (which was missing many.) Don’t get me wrong - our room was very very good value, just not nearly as nice as the one we booked.

The staff were lovely, and the location could not have been better. A truly lovely little hotel.

The rooms stink. I tried 3 rooms and you can smell this mouldy wet smell. The aircon smelled so bad i didn't even turned it on.

Hotel is close to the beach with very helpfull personal. If you stay out of your room, than it is nice place.
