The room is very tired but they are renovating after the season so I expect it will be lovely next year.

The staff are lovely, really helpful. Allowed us to leave our luggage after check out so we could go snorkelling and then on our return use the pool before we left.

The location was great! Our host Hilmi was super! There is nothing Hilmi can’t take care of. He made our stay very enjoyable.

    Bit smelly

Very beautiful garden, big pool, close to seaside, very nice breakfast with nice juices. You are in a privileged hotel resort close to Sri Lankian local sea experience, which we appreciated. You can walk to beach restaurants. MOON isle was the best

We stayed there during a long weekend, which drew an insane crowd. It ended being very loud and extremely busy all around. That's all unrelated to the quality of the hotel. Internet is not very stable.

Great place, 1 min from the beach. The swimming is nice and the rooms are good. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Not many restaurants/bars around and so you need to go to trincomalee, which wasn’t much of a chore. One night our Wi-Fi stopped working, but then they gave us a router in our room. So all in all nothing to not like.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. The location to the beach was excellent. Trincomalee was a short Tuk Tuk ride away, Tuk Tuk are easy to come by. The staff were able to put us in contact with pearl divers, who provided an excellent and reasonably priced whale and dolphin watching trip.

The shower is really complicated and the pressure of quater was poor. The sunbeds are old and uncomfortable.

There were nice garden and swimming pool. They prepared us breakfast on one of the mornings and even opened coconuts for us. That was really nice. Rooms are really basic, not to elegant but clean. They do not provide any kind of celaning or chaninging the towels during the stay. The village itself is really small and there is not much to do. But overall it was good 3 night stay.

The brekfast was underwhelming, you'd get some toasts, butter and jam with some fruits. For the price the service was meh, the English of the managers and people working there was alright but not "good" enough for such a high price. Furthermore they weren't too nice, they didn't really care about you and made no circumstances to try and do something pleasant.

The rooms were freshly renovated, modern and really clean. The facilities were great, the pool was always clean, in great condition and the surroundings were taken care for, so it always looked green and beautiful. As for the location, it's a at most 2 minute walk to the Nilaveli main beach with life guard with lots of great but "expensive" restaurants around.

It is not beachfront, you have to walk for a while to get to it. Despite there is a "restaurant" there is no service, meaning, you have to go outside for breakfast or even a bottle of water. No information about motorbike rental (absolutely essential, in order to find food), diving, snorkeling, or any sort of activities. Basically, we were left to our room and had to find anything by ourselves. Overpriced, considering the surrounding offering.

Super comfy beds, big swimming pool.

Our door was very difficult to lock and unlock and the room felt a bit unloved. Think we need more than a sheet on bed.

nothing, it was all good. would have been good if the restaurant was open, but it is understandable.

the room was comfortable and clean, with aircon and hot water. the garden was lovely and also the pool was nice. it is a short walk to the beach. the restaurant was closed as we were the only guests. we are at a couple of other nearby restaurants. the young man who looked after us was really helpful, organised laundry for us. highly recommended.

We were there during school holidays so the beach was crowded and party busses carrying locals lined the street playing music until all hours. Located opposite Nilaveli beach carpark. Beach was dirty. Bed was small double despite being advertised as large. A/c ticked loudly when trying to sleep. Many of these are variable but not for the price.

Great pool, tv worked, restaurant (run independently) made nice food at reasonable price.

Wifi was very poor and didn’t work in the rooms, stayed 5 nights and not once offered any more toilet paper, clean towels or bins emptying or cleaning. Was hard to find someone at desk, no available water or drinks if you wanted something at the pool unfortunately and the surroundings was a little noisey in the evenings.

The outdoor pool and gardens were lovely

-Swimming pool water looked like “milky” with a heavy chlorine smell. -Electrical problems with plugs related to ground installation, I managed to make it work with a power adaptor without ground connection. -Fridge plug fuse was tampered with a safety pin. -Some dust in ceiling’s molding.

-Location, just 100 m from the beach.

Green hotel in a great location

We loved our stay here, it is a great hotel in a great location. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the garden. The room had a fridge which kept my beer, and water icy cold. The pool is fab, quite big and really clean. The manager was lovely, he went out of his way to accommodate my husband’s dietary needs and got food in especially for him. The resort is a short walk from the beach and there are lots of great restaurants in the area too. There is also a wine shop just around the corner.

After three weeks in Sri Lanka this was our first and only negative experience. The hotel has no management onsite and the communication with the onsite staff was difficult, as their English is limited. The restaurant is closed and there is no bar or room service available. The breakfast was very simple and the surrounding of the hotel has limited to offer, except for the beach of course and the swimming pool of the hotel. You need a 10-15 min tuk tuk ride to get you to the nearest proper restaurants. We did not expect this from a rather expensive hotel. When we wanted to pay, we could only pay with cash (which was a rather big amount after staying a couple of days). When we complained about this, we received a rather unfriendly and inpolite message from the manager. All in all a non-typical Sri Lankan experience of hospitality. And even though the onsite staff is not to blame, we can unfortunately not recommend this hotel.

The rooms were outdated but clean with a nice swimming pool
