Janith and his family are really nice and helpfull. The accomodation is around a 2 or 3 minute walk to the main street, following his shortcut. The room is clean with good airconditioning. We thouroughly enjoyed the verwhelming breakfast. Would recommend

The owner, Janith, was very polite, friendly, and helpful. When I arrived at the hotel, I was a little stressed because my money had been stolen. The owner and his wife’s warm smiles immediately made me feel relaxed. Although I had booked a standard room, they kindly gave me a free upgrade to a larger room with an amazing view. I truly enjoyed my 2-day stay, especially spending time on the balcony. Thank you so much for your kindness!

For people with difficulty walking, it might be a challenge to get to the rooms.

We had a homemade Sri Lankan breakfast, which was out of this world. The host and his family were delightful. The rooms were clean with amazing views. Make sure to ask the host about the “secret” path into Ella that really cuts down on the walk.

The view is amazing! We really enjoyed that we had our own space with seating on the balcony. The room is spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable. The Sri Lankan breakfast is superb! Tasty and a great start of the day. Janith is a wonderful host who helps you out in any way that he can. I would recommend this to anyone coming to Ella!

Shower water was not hot, if you wanted to set it hotter, there was nearly any water. Also bed mattress was hard.

Janith and his family are wunderful people and welcomed us to their home with open arms. We had the room on top (I think this was the biggest, but oldest room they have) and we where really happy with it. Great breakfast and easy communication with the host :)

This has to be the best place to stay in Ella. Janith and his family are great people who looked after us so well. They helped us with tuktuks, taxis and did our laundry beautifully. Absolutely Perfect Stay! I had an amazing experience at this homestay. The location is ideal, close to everything but still peaceful and quiet. Really cozy and confortable room. The highlight for me was the balcony with a beautiful view — the perfect spot to start and end the day. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared each morning, truly a great way to begin the day. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. You can tell they care deeply about their guests' comfort. Highly recommend — I would absolutely stay here again!

I had a wonderful experience at Cozy Homestay in Ella, Sri Lanka. The location couldn’t have been better—peaceful yet just a short walk to the main street and attractions. Such a lovely place with a beautiful view! The owner is so kind and helpful. He even helped us with packed lunches for our train ride. The breakfast was also amazing - the best we had in Sri Lanka! The location is perfect, a bit away from the busy Main street but still within walking distance.

This is one of the best places I have stayed in Sri Lanka. Janith and his family are wonderful people. I arrived on the busiest weekend of the year, without realising, and Janith went out of his way to help with suggestions, tips, even going as far as to help my driver find a place to stay as everything was full! Just wonderful. He also gave me the best meal recommendation of Cafe C which is a MUST if you are in Ella. The location is amazing, so peaceful and beautiful and it has a little shortcut to the centre which he showed me. The breakfast was exceptional. Cannot recommend this place highly enough
