The cabanas are made from fairly simple materials, so the overall feel is very basic rather than anything close to luxury. Our main challenge was the number of mosquitoes inside the hut, and the net provided didn’t offer as much protection as we expected. The bathrooms were rustic and open to the outside, which some may find atmospheric, but in practice made them a bit inconvenient to use. Overall, this is closer to a very simple, back-to-basics type of accommodation. If you’re looking for comfort or ease, you may find it limiting.

The highlight was definitely the people. The owner is genuinely one of the kindest hosts we’ve met—he went out of his way to help us arrange moped rentals and laundry, which made our stay much easier. We also felt very safe and well looked after throughout. The location couldn’t be better: just a quick 3–4 minute walk to Fernando’s and the main beach hangout, so everything is within easy reach.

Great location close to the beach but far enough away from the main roads. Unlimited water was a first for us in Sri Lanka and was such a bonus.

We initially booked this place for 3 nights, but ended up staying 6 — and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision! The accommodation was absolutely perfect: very clean, the beds are super comfortable, and located in a peaceful setting and a 5min walk to the beach. A special thank you to Priyantha, our host, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! He was always kind, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. His warm hospitality truly made a difference and made us feel right at home. If you're looking for a place that’s clean, relaxing, and hosted by someone who genuinely cares about your stay, this is it. We would gladly come back anytime. Highly recommended!

Can be noisy as it's a wooden cabana, so you may need earplugs. Quite some mosquitos like everywhere but you do have a mosquito net, so the bed will be your safe place:)

Great Location, Close to restaurants and beach. Cabanas are well equipped, bit small but you can sit on the terrace. Kettle, cups, coffee, tea in your room. Everything very clean. Friendly staff. We could check in and check out slightly earlier/later. Big bonus: free drinking water refill, so a lot less plastic bottles! Also, they rent bicycles in good condition and it's fun to explore Trinco city with them.

We didn't have breakfast, but there was a real nice place just around the corner. There was a watercooker and fresh water and coffee and tea in the room. There is a super cool tree in the garden so in the morning you wake up and can great the monkeys and squirels and birds playing around in it.

The lighting could be improved but that wasn’t really an issue for me

Very lovely stay, the host were so kind and helpful with everything, provided me with mosquitoe spray and you have unlimited drinking water. It’s a short walk from the beach and local restaurants The cabana is very simple but has everything you need, the bed is very comfy and has a mosquitoe net which comes very handy. Worth noting it’s a cold shower but I knew this before booking so that wasn’t a problem for me

Cute cabana, comfortable bed, good parking and not far from restaurants/beach. Very helpful owner, even came running out with an umbrella when we pulled up in the rain. As with anywhere on the coast you must be prepared for mosquitoes.

There is no hot water for the shower but that didn’t bother us, the water isn’t really cold just a bit fresh

We had a fab time here, loved staying in a cute cabana which had all of the facilities - en suite and air con!! The location is fab, 4 mins walk to the nicest beach in Trinco, right round the corner to some lovely restaurants and a couple of grocery stores a min walk away! The owner was very helpful and organised a tuk tuk to the bus stop for us at a low price. Couldn’t fault this place at all!!

Very accommodating. Good location with a 5 min walk to beach (snorkelling at top end of beach). The manager arranged a driver from Uppuveli to Kandy (4 hours) which was excellent value (SLR 22000).
