SpainA few things that could use some improvement: water pressure in the shower (wasn't always stable and bouncing up and down), small details like broken ceramic towel hangers and old humid closet smell in the room (so better don't open the closet).
This was a classy UK-looking hotel with a nice apartment and facilities. Great location! Quiet, but near the main communications. It was great to find a heater in the room, because otherwise drying clothes during rainy season is too challenging. Original price looked somewhat unreasonable (80+EUR), while discounted price (~33EUR) was more according to what we found. In general everything was okay. Slovakiabreakfast was in another place, which was not communicated before. breakfast was perfect and on a beautiful place, but we wanted to leave early in the morning and this complicated our stay a bit. internet was not working at all, maybe because of the rain? who knows. it was very cold inside, so be prepared with good pijama:)
nice garden, big space in the rooms, we were offered by tea when we arrived. the communication with the property is very easy and pleasant. thank you.

The building is charming and has a very colonial feel. The staff are very helpful and kind. Breakfast is at another hotel a short walk or tuk tuk away. Town and Golf course are nearby. The breakfast is great. Overall good value for the rate we paid.

BrazilUnfortunately there were a party next to our window super noisy, it’s not the hotel fault, but we could not sleep. The bed could be a little more comfortable and we had trouble with the shower, there were no much water on the day we arrived.
The place is an old English house, with a very beautiful garden. We had breakfast at the other hotel and it was excellent. We loved the staff. Michael that person works in the breakfast area was lovely.

United KingdomThe property was in an excellent location for seeing Nuwara Eliya. The family room was very spacious- more like an apartment, and comfortable. It was a little dated and we had a few issues with the hot water and wifi connection. The main plus to the accommodation was the food from its sister hotel - Royal Cocoon which was amazing. The chef Amiz really knows his stuff.

All other staff were friendly and helpful. The room was massive and a very comfy bed and good sleep! Would highly recommend!

NetherlandsWe had high expectations because of the good reviews, but for us it was very disappointing. The room wasn’t clean (stains on the sheets and pillows) and you felt the springs in the mattress while laying down. I’m guessing the walls are very thin because you could hear everyone walking and talking. On our night here there was a big party with loud music and yelling. This could’ve been outside of the hotel in which case it isn’t the hotels fault. The bathroom was also kind of dirty and had a lot of broken and sharp hooks. We had a ‘window’ (ventilation system, not closeable) in the bathroom which looked down a small alley of some sort, and if people were smoking downstairs it came up in our room. The breakfast was also offered inside the hotel instead of in the other hotel like the reviews said, but this could be beneficial (we didn’t use this option). Overall we wouldn’t recommend this stay

They kindly gave us a free upgrade, which was a wonderful surprise. The breakfast was truly impressive just as pictured with a wide variety including pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs, British-style breakfast items, and a great selection of coffee and tea. It was a peaceful place and definitely worth the money. What made the experience even more special was the young chef, who was incredibly attentive and kind. Thanks to him, I would gladly return again. If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot, I highly recommend this place.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Old colonial cottage in Nuwara Eliya for one night during our honeymoon trip and it was absolutely delightful experience. The collatage itself is stunning, beautifully preserved with charming colonial character, yet clean, cozy and very well furnished. The location is ideal, paceful, yet centrally located and close to everything you need in town. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They were warm. friendly and incredibly helpful nothing was ever too much for them. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.

Superb property close to city centre market and post office. It is just walking distance and in center of city. Glenfall road is best place to stay. It is colonial area with beautiful green and clean surrounding. Waterfall can be seen from our property and is walking distance. I rate this property 4.5 star. I highly recommend to stay in this property cocoon Hills. The host manager Posindu is very nice he always greets u with smile and is very helpful. Breakfast is arranged in their close by chain of hotel and that was also very superb. For all visiting tourists from any country I recommend Cocoon Hills for stay. Thanks, Amit
