Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

BelgiumWatch out for the hotel next to it. They charge more (for the juices and stuff) for tourists and are not friendly to tourists who don't stay with them. Pick snorkeling OR diving. Not both. Because it's on the same place/in the same bay
Wauw, everything! Almost private, undiscoverd beach, practicly no tourists, only local friendly fisherman. The most helpful and lovely people! We felt a lot of hospitality and almost like we're part of the family. In my years of travelling i've never had a feeling of not wanting to leave a place. Except here. We've got so much more to do and all i want is to go back there. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. I'll recommend this place to everyone. Eat dinner there! The hopper string kottu is to die for!

We had a wonderful time at Clara’s Beach Inn. It is run by a lovely family who were willing to help us with everything. From arranging tuc tucs to organising an snorkelling experience. We had an amazing room with a beautiful sea view. Highly recommend ! :)

GermanyThe surrounding is not so nice, and for the taxi driver it was challenging to get there. Tuk Tuk will be a better choice. In the evening I felt a bit uncomfortable around the accommodation. In the accommodation itself everything is like written in booking.
The owner runs the business for one month. It is a nice place. If you like, crows, fisher boats, a view on the bay it is the right place. There are two or three temples around.

SwitzerlandThis is a ’working’ beach and half of it is full of boats. The other half (the picture postcard one) belongs to the navy and is a ’no go’ area (there is a guard tower and they will shout at you if you come too close). It is also not really possible to do walks on the peninsula, since also this belongs to the navy. The accessible part ist reasonably clean. As everywhere in Sri Lanka, there are (in this case nice) dogs running around so one has to look a little where to put the feet. But these are minor things and didn‘t really disturbe my stay. As of now, Clara‘s Beach Inn can not provide wifi. This might however change and if you have a local sim card it‘s not a promblem (coverage with Dialog was good).
I really enjoyed my stay at Clara’s Beach Inn, situated at the end of a quiet small beach. The fishermen will go out with their boats in the morning (which is fun to watch) and apart from that, there is not much going on (which I love). The room (I had the one with a separate bathroom, which is for single use) is clean and the photos posted on Booking are accurate. AC worked perfectly as well as the hot water in the shower. Nilukshan and his sister Thushara are very attentive hosts, keen to improve their guesthouse. And Mama Sunitha cooks great and both dinner and breakfast were a delight. There is a sunbed for rent at the beach belonging to the neighbour (as of April 2025), but I think Nilukshan will organize sunbeds for his guests. Apart from that, I hope this spot will stay as ‚touristy undeveloped’, quiet and relaxing as it is (no bars with loud music, just the sound of the fishermen working and the waves). So if you’re, like me, looking for a place to withdraw from the crowds and chill, this is the one. I don‘t rate it a 10 since I‘m always sceptical to those. But it is a 9.8 :-).

Sri LankaBeen to Trincomalee few times, we want to discover something new & something special....It's a something special ! Manayaveli beach is a truly hidden gem. Clara's Beach Inn is a newly renovated two bed room cute place which has brearh taking view. Nilukshan is running the place together with his family. All were super friendly & willing to help us to full fill our every needs. Place was clean & tide. They served huge breakfast, combination of local & western food. I highly recommend the place & can't wait to go back....
