a really beautiful and nice place, close to the beach and shops. Perfect for relaxing. The room fan was really good and I slept excellently, and the hosts were very friendly.

It was a good price considering the budget and the hotel owner is very friendly. It is very close to the new city.

One of the best stays I had in Sri Lanka in one month. The host is prepared until the last detail. Sparkling clean and organised.

Lovely colonial vibe, securely tucked away at the end of a lane in the northern end of Hikkaduwa. .It's walking distance to a beach, and nearby shops on the other side of the railway line, yet very quiet. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed didn't have a top sheet, but I was given one once I asked. There is a small shared kitchen that you can use to make coffee or even cook and a fridge in the family's living area that can be used to store your things. The host Iresh is always there to answer any questions or help with any other inquiry you might have, yet unobtrusive. Overall good value for money.

The room lacks storage. Only a bed, nightstand and table. There is nowhere to put your bags or hang up your clothes. A few hooks or a clothes rack would be great. The bathroom window can not be opened, so it lacks ventilation and always feels a bit humid. There is an air conditioner in the room, however if you want to use it you will have to pay extra. The room can get a bit stuffy and musty once you close the shutters and only use the fan. Fly screens on the windows would be great to keep out the mozzies and give some fresh air. You will not have any private space outside. There is a sitting area in the middle for all guests to use. However, only 2 chairs between 3 rooms.

Clean, quiet, a lot of space in a well maintained Dutch colonial house. Very kind and helpful staff.

Compare to the places where near the main road here is just quiet. There’s hot water for shower as well. Everything is good here.

Beautiful colonial architecture. Owner Iresh is very helpful and gave lots of suggestions for places to visit both in the local area and elsewhere in Sri Lanka. His English is very good. Room has hot water, a ceiling fan, air conditioning and a desk. It's spotlessly clean and the bed is very comfortable. The towel was new and fluffy. The best place I have stayed in Sri Lanka so far. Quiet neighbourhood.

Room could do with a bit of cleaning. There was lots of small white things on the mattress that stick to the body and clothes.

It was well located, good Value for money and the family owning and operating it were very kind and helpful, including providing me with an umbrella when it rained!

Spacious and very clean rooms. Hot water shower, we didn’t need this and chose cold shower but it’s there if you do need it. Was offered delicious tea every day by hosts. Quiet location within easy walking distance of train and bus station.

The place is very calm and surrounded by nature. On the other hand, it is not far from the beach and the city centre. Very friendly and hospitable owner.

Very friendly, helpful family who provided lots of information on what one could do in the area. I asked to rent a bike and that was organized quickly with a neighbour. Only takes a 10-minute walk into town, and beaches were also within easy reach. A beautiful peaceful setting, could not wish for better

Its nothing fancy,but all was more then okay and clean,only you are a bit inside from main road,i was with scooter and had no problems... Especially the owner Iresh was extra hospitable and help with anything,lend me a adapter charger as mine wasnt working properly... I stayed only one night,but when back,i would stay again...

Stayed with my farther on the way for some works. Owner and his family members are very helpful. calm environment around the property.
