The water pressure in the shower was not the best at times, but honestly you’re in the middle of nature at the top of a hill so what can you expect 😉 all in all didn’t detract from what was a wonderful stay.

What a fabulous hotel! My partner and I loved every second of our stay. The hotel is about 15 minutes out of Ella town via Tuk Tuk which can easily be arranged through the hotel for 1200LKR one way. The views, service and all round peacefulness of the hotel were all definite highlights! Also do yourself a favour and make sure that you have dinner at least one night at the hotel - one of the nicest meals we have had in Sri Lanka and very reasonably priced! 10/10 recommend. Also the gardens are exquisite and you can tell the pride the gardeners take it maintaining such a beautiful space.

We loved our stay at the Chill Ville. The location is quiet and serene yet not too far away from Ella and the activities in the area. The view from the pool is stunning and it’s a great place to relax after a busy day. The breakfast is very fresh and delicious and the staff incredibly friendly.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Chill Ville! The property/view, the food, and the staff were fantastic! We liked it so much that we ate all our meals at the property restaurant and spent most of our time relaxing at the property/pool. The staff, especially Harsha and Gayan, were extremely friendly and attended to our every need, thus making our stay very comfortable! We absolutely loved this place and highly recommend it!

This hotel is great, amazing view from a nice pool, good menu and clean and spacious rooms. Staff very friendly. The grounds are very nice and they have their own tuktuk facility to take you into town. Super secluded and among tea fields. The food at the restaurant was also very good. Way better than staying in Ella town and close to the bridge and adams peak.

If you want an amazing view of the mountains and tea plantations, a pool with incredible views, very comfortable beds with incredible views, amazing buffet breakfast with beautiful local and western food including pre soaked chia, fresh fruit, omelettes made by chef Sampath, local dhal and gorgeous curry, super friendly staff including Guyan and Harsha, who took us to swim in the local waterfall 15 minute tul tuk away, then you've come to the right place. I would definitely come back to stay at Chill Ville. Only 10 to 15 minute beautiful tuktuk ride away from Ella town. SENSATIONAL stay. Thank you to all the beautiful staff.

Chill Ville Viewpoint was a standout stay — tucked away in the mountains with views that rival the best lookouts in Ella. The setting is peaceful and private, yet still close enough to town when needed. The onsite restaurant was convenient and the food was great. Staff were genuinely kind and helpful throughout. My room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully positioned to take in the scenery. Having a tuktuk available onsite made getting around easy (and significantly cheaper than town rates). I honestly wish I’d stayed an extra night here instead of moving on to Kandy — it was that good. Would return in a heartbeat.

There wasn’t any air con when we stayed. We would have really benefited from that as it was very hot and difficult to sleep at night. The manager said work was starting soon to bring aircon to the villas which will be excellent.

The view, the view, the view! The room was fabulous, clean and so comfortable. There was a great variety of food for breakfast and it was so tasty. The staff were so kind & attentive. Overall, a wonderful place to stay. Would highly recommend it.

Climb up the hill to the accommodation, but it's worth it for the views! A mosquito net over at least one of the windows would be good as you can't open up the windows to cool the room down without letting in the insects

We spent two wonderful nights at Chill Ville. It's an ideal place to relax and the surrounding green areas are very well kept and beautiful to look at. The refreshing pool was ideal for the afternoon sun. In terms of service, we were greeted with smiles and kindness by the entire team, both on arrival and during the delicious meals and breakfasts. Special mention must go to Gayah and Thilina, who were always accommodating, attentive and ready to teach us more about the local culture.

There’s a lot of insects around the room and sometimes found in the room (but this is hard to avoid due to the nature).

It’s breathtaking location on the top of a hill with unparalleled views! It’s a Sri Lankan authentic hotel with so much beautiful details in the architecture and room designs. My family and I admired the hotel staff! Oh my God how warm, welcoming, and hospitable. They go above and beyond their way to make it a memorable stay. Thank you so much!

The road to get to the property is quite remote so did get lost enroute but once you’re there it’s great & they have their own tuktuk which made it very easy to get around!

Nothing! Just note that if you get the chalet at the top of the hill there is quite a few stairs to get there, this wasn’t a huge issue atall but if you have mobility issues it may be worth requesting one of the rooms lower down the hill.

The location is absolutely stunning, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed in. Even when the weather wasn’t so great sitting out on our balcony or looking out from the restaurant was breathtaking. The staff are absolutely wonderful and they clearly take such care in keeping the grounds of the hotel in such good condition. Special mention to our main waiter, Thilina who was very kind and gave us great recommendations during our stay. We used the hotel tuk tuk driver, Asfaak to get into town (which was quite a lot cheaper than when we used others in Ella) and then got his WhatsApp number and he came and picked us up from places when he could which was really helpful and made everything feel very easy. The weather wasn’t great in the evening during our stay so we ate in the hotel restaurant quite a lot, the food here is delicious, as were the breakfasts.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The views were incredible and the rooms were very clean, spacious and up to date. The Ceylon posters were a nice touch. For us, it was ideal to have a location outside of town as Ella can be a lot but we also appreciated that the Nuwaan at reception was so helpful in sorting out tuk tuk rides and sightseeing for us. The meals were also excellent and Kaveesha who works there was absolutely lovely!
