Its very nice place. Can recommend any one who likes claim environment. Best hospitality i have ever had. They surprised us by arranging cake and decoration for my sister birthday. It is next level of experience. Value for money. Food amazing. Staff very friendly.

Beautiful property outlined by a water body, adequate pool, sprawling lawns with lush green lawns. Perfect for a getaway from our usual bustle from life in the city. Wet towels upon arrival, welcome drink, and courteous staff.

The rooms were nice though we had to ask for a second bed as four of us could not sleep in one.

We enjoyed our family stay and would like to have stayed more than a single night. It's a very relaxing hotel in beautiful natural grounds. Everything is centred around a beautiful pool that overlooks a lake.

Live music was a bit 'old school' (rather dated tunes).

Comfy base with easy access to national parks and cultural centres. Half board was good value with a large choice of meals. Great pool and lovely views over the lake.

The host was incredibly humble, accommodating, and such a genuinely nice person, which made the experience even better. The dinner buffet is rather pricy for a family

Beautiful hotel, looks like a safari lodge with big clean and comfortable rooms, extremely nice pool and Lobby. The hotel surroundings is big and well maintained gardens, close to a natural lake with monkeys coming to visit. The staff was very helpful.

Swimming pool. Too much chlorine. I had red eyes for a few hours after the swim.

Location is 10/10. It is super spacious. We had long walks. The property is still maintained really well. I've been there a few times now. Really, the quality is the same.

The pool is shabby - but it is warm and the pool next door in the sister hotel is very nice.

This was my favourite hotel during our trip to Sri Lanka. The bedrooms (lake view) were nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the rooms were incredibly clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and there was an enormous choice. It’s a good, central location to visit all the ancient sites and temples in the area. There’s also a large choice of restaurants near the hotel entrance that you can walk to in the evening.

Air-conditioning was leaking throughout our stay and was intermittently working. However, the ceiling fan was more than sufficient to keep us cool.

Habarana Village pleasantly surprised us on so many levels. The room was cosy and spacious (minus issues with the air-conditioning), with a wonderful view of the lake that had beautiful sunsets and a walking trail. Cheers to the very attentive and professional bar staff during meal services. Would highly recommend this place for a getaway and available wide international buffet options each meal. Live music was very good and the F&B manager was very welcoming. Very satisfied and well done!

More light in the room. The boat we ordered to take us round lake never arrived.

Buffet style meals in a nice setting. We enjoyed being in the village rather than the Lodge for the more Sri Lankan feel. However not the place to go if you want to swim as the pool was full and a decorative shape so more for playing, chatting in than swimming. The room was rather dark and gloomy in contrast to the Lodge. However we managed to use the facilities in the Lodge so we had a good balance. We were greeted with a wonderful elephant made out of towels surrounded by flowers left by the person who cleaned the room. Lovely touch really appreciated.

This is a luxury, spacious, green, and very clean resort. The charming bungalow-style rooms are lovely, and the large on-site restaurant serves a wide variety of delicious food. We appreciated the mix of authentic Sri Lankan cuisine and European options - especially important for our conservative young eaters. The fresh pasta station was a kids favourite every time! The swimming pool is not huge but never felt crowded. Evenings are made special with live music entertainment—always beautifully done and fun to watch. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel for relaxing with family or friends after busy days of sightseeing.

It was a nightmare trying to get into touch with them. The phone numbers on Booking.com were outdated and no picked them. At the last minute, it happened that we had to check in late and we needed to speak to them about it.
