Clean and tidy and worth for money, finally more than expected..

EVERYTHING! The place is extremely clean and cosy. The host helped us with everything he could and prepared delicious drinks. It’s possible to use the kitchen which is equipped well enough. Even though the place isn’t very close to the tourist areas, it’s price leaves you some buffer for the tuk-tuk rides, which are really cheap. Also there are plenty of cheap and delicious foods around the place so you can feel local and not pay tons of money for the rice and curry. One important thing to add: the host is an amazing and very kind person who dedicates to helping people with hard deseases to get treatment.

The place is very quiet and no disturbance. The people like for a quiet place will like it.

For a budget stay this is fantastic. Clean room, clean toilets, AC works very well. The host Senthu is exceptionally nice. He prepared some superb local fare and was very attentive to our needs. All in all a lovely hangout. The guest house is located just as you enter trincomalee Town. Within a short walk everything you desire is around you. The best beach in Trincomalee " Dutch bay" is only 3Km away. No regrets will go back for sure. Senthu you are the best.

We really enjoyed our stay here for a few days. The room smelled wonderful when we first arrived, and we were warmly welcomed with fresh juice. The room was large, very clean, and came with a lovely bathroom. Having both a fan and air conditioning made the stay even more comfortable. The host kindly prepared meals and breakfast upon request for an additional charge, we had an omelette for breakfast and lovely sri lankan egg fried rice with chicken or prawns for dinner.

For the first couple of days, both the fridge and kettle were giving off strong electric shocks, which was quite worrying. Thankfully, an electrician came out and fixed the issue, and we were told it had been caused by a mouse chewing through the wiring. It would also have been really helpful to have a toaster available. My daughter is an extremely picky eater and struggled with the lack of options, as there was no way to heat up food or even make toast, so she ended up living on cheese sandwiches and crisps, or eating out, during our stay.

Senthu was a wonderful host. The place was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The room had everything I needed, and the private bathroom was excellent. The area was quiet and peaceful, yet still accessible—either a reasonable walk or a short bus or tuk-tuk ride to the main attractions. I originally planned to stay just one night but ended up staying for two. Senthu kindly arranged to have all my laundry washed, free of charge. Filtered water was available at all times, which made traveling just that little bit easier.

Great guest house, rooms are big and comfortable and you have use of a kitchen, dinning room, living room and outside space. The host was brilliant and helped us organise a bike for our stay, and kindly brought us fresh juices and food to try. We extended our stay here 😃

Cha Cha Guest House was hands down our best accommodation in Sri Lanka. The room was spotlessly clean, not a single bug, which is truly rare here in Sri Lanka. The brand-new air conditioning worked perfectly and quietly. The location is peaceful yet conveniently close to the beach and restaurants. The value for money is unbelievable — nowhere else did we get this level of comfort for such a price. On top of that, the host is truly exceptional — kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Amazing stay at Cha Cha guest house. The best breakfast, location and guest house. The host is such a nice man, he helped us get our iPad to Arugam Bay when we left it in Trincomalee, we were so grateful!! Hugely recommend this place, 5* 💗

Nothing it was all amazing

The location is not the best. It is isolated from the main attractions. Everything weird.

This is the best value-for-money accommodation in Trincomalee. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and there’s hot water and air conditioning — everything is just perfect. There’s also a large shared kitchen for guests, equipped with a fridge and a wide variety of utensils. But the real highlight is the hosts — they are the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. They were always ready to assist us, whether it was frying some eggs or helping us wash our motorbike. We are endlessly grateful for their warm hospitality. To other accommodation owners: take note — *this* is how you run a great place without charging outrageous prices!

Nothing was good, never go to that guesthouse. we were two girls the first night everything went well there were also two other people. and the second night my friend is in her bed and I go to shower. there are two windows in the bathroom and he opened the window to look at me naked. We packed our bags and left straight away. DON’T GO THERE, his guesthouse need to close.

Calm quite place.

There was a bad oder in the bathroom. Bed was creaking and matress was uncomfertable
