How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Superb location, 2 mins from beach, but at the quieter western side of mirissa beach. There are plenty of lovely places to eat close by, on the quieter Harbour road without getting onto the busy main road . Would highly recommend for families.

Personally i would'nt have mind having a mini fridge for the room.. aside from that no other suggestions
It was a decent sized room with adequate amenities. Great place for a short stay( we spent 2 days) if you will be out and about in Mirrisa. We were hosted by the family, who where always present in the vicinity and assisted best they could to our immediate wants.

In the room lacked a hanger for wet clothes. There were no wi-fi in the room

We booked a room with a fan and it was very very hot, so I would recommend choosing AC. There was quite a lot of noise from loud music nearby, fine with ear plugs though!
Very convenient and well priced, friendly staff and tasty breakfast! Hot shower.

There is a need for renovation definitely, a wet smell everywhere but not too annoying for me. Would definitely stay again.
Very good location, owner very friendly, kind and helpful. The room although close to the road was very quite. Big bed with very comfortable mattress and good pillows. I did not use the A/C fan was enough for me

The room was quite humid so maybe it would be good to put bars or something else to the windows to be able to keep it open to let the fresh air coming in :) My room was on the ground floor so I don't know about the others rooms.
Very nice room and bedroom with fan. Hosts are really nice and helpful. Breakfast was also very good :) Really close to the beach and other facilities, the location is perfect !

Power socket is not good, when we input our changeover plug, happen electric spark. and in evening it happen a shot time power cut.
this place is near the beach, the breakfast give some fruit.

Air conditioning was a bit weak, wifi non existent in the room

In our room we couldn’t adjust the temperature of the AC (it was on fixed temp 16 degrees). The lighting inside the room can be improved (it was a bit too dim). One big inconvenience - the linen for sleeping was rather small.
Great location - only few minutes walk from Mirissa beach. The breakfast was sufficient (fried egg, toast, fruit platter, tea). We were able to park our tuktuk inside the yard. Also we could dry our clothes on top of the roof!

Could do with a mosquito net over the bathroom window but not a big deal, just keep the bathroom door shut
Stayed here twice on our trip, tops location and great staff. Very reasonable price and a nice breakfast. Looked after my surfboards and bits between our stays and allowed a late check out for our flight, even taxied us to the airport for a very good fee
