Our stay at Brockenhurst Bungalow was nothing short of amazing. The property is full of old-world charm, beautifully maintained, and set in a peaceful, scenic location. The rooms were cozy and elegant, with just the right mix of heritage and comfort. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The garden was a true highlight, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the cool climate. Overall, a truly memorable experience. It is the first time for us in Sri Lanka. The manager, the cook, and the villa team were so helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and they prepared a chicken and fish barbecue. Our stay was fabulous, and we plan to come again with our extended family. Wi-Fi is on and off sometimes.

Amazing property, great staff, and loved the old style bungalow. We had a great time spending time on the lawns, and when it rained, the staff was super helpful to set up the fireplace, and we had an evening of Uno and music.

A bit tricky to find so some signage on the way/by the entrance would be useful. WiFi was very slow, almost non-existent at times; not sure if that is due to the location or a poor provider. Plumbing was a bit too 1950s for a high end property.

Cosy Victorian-era house that looks like it was transported from England. Large bedrooms, sizeable dining room, and comfortable sitting room with fire place. The staff kindly lit us a fire and also brought in a Christmas tree for us to decorate. Well maintained garden with a lawn area large enough for some non-regulation cricket and badminton. We arrived late one evening but they made a barbecue for us. The Sri Lankan dinner they made for us was excellent.

We recently stayed at this beautiful bungalow with our friends, and it was ideal for our group of 11 persons. The stunning views, well-equipped heritage bungalow, and the outdoor BBQ with bonfire area were all highlights of our stay. Conveniently located near attractions and the main town, it had everything we needed.

A return visit to this charming colonial bungalow after a few years was just as delightful as I remembered! The rooms are clean and comfortable as always, and the fireplace added a cozy touch. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the service of Waruna was very very good! Ensuring a pleasant stay. The location is excellent; within easy walking distance to Nuwara Eliya city and surrounded by so much to do in the neighborhood. I completely enjoyed my stay.

This Colonial Bungalow exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. It is centrally located in Nuwara Eliya town in a quite area and it has a large well kept garden. The location made it convenient for us to explore the area. The cozy fireplace added a touch of warmth, especially during the rainy weather. The bungalow is spacious enough for group up to 12 guests, and the colonial-style architecture gave it a unique charm. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a memorable experience in central hills of the country. Nuwara Eliya can be quite chilly in the night hence warm clothes are recommended.

They did not accept card payment (I think they did not want to) which is bizarre given the price of this accommodation per night (we paid $427 in local currency). There was a dog that is kept in the kitchen at night which is not really speaking of hygiene. Kitchen was not clean and we did not use it as much as we planned. Kitchen is also used by staff which was odd. The rest of the bungalow was spick and span and clean, but kitchen was completely the opposite.

Great location, as expected, a real British era bungalow almost unchanged, very cosy. Good and helpful staff. Great place to relax.

We had an amazing experience at Bruckenhurst Bungalow. The house is very authentic. The three guys that take care of the house are very kind and friendly and made us feel like home. I highly recommend this place in Nuwara Eliya!

Everything! over priced for what's on offer, Hosts poor. Didn't clean rooms / refresh towels and everything down to providing a cup of tea seemed too much of an effort. Worst accommodation in Sri Lanka.

Location central to town but hard to find.
