The owner was so kind and polite . The room was very clean with all the amenities that a guest needs. The location of the guest house is awesome next to the beach(1 minute on foot).Also next to very good restaurants and breakfast spots

There were some ants would crawled in the room, but we didn’t mind it cuz it happens in most of the accommodations that’s near the nature.

The family’s guesthouse is well setup. Though the facility is not so-called insta modern style, it looks basic but equipped with everything we needed, especially the hot shower and very nice AC unit. The host and his family were super friendly, and you can see they’ve tried so hard to make sure your stay is pleasant. Location is great to everything. There is a really nice brunch restaurant next door. There was a nice balcony that’s facing the nature. We didn’t notice the price we booked was not including the breakfast, but it seemed like a feast when we passed other guests’. We would’ve added on the breakfast if we knew it earlier.

Our host cooked us a very nice breakfast with different things every day. The fruit was lovely and just ripe for eating. From our balcony were nice tropical trees , often with monkeys in them. The creek below had wildlife in it. The location was excellent being a very short walk to the beach. Our host arranged a taxi for us to go to Tissamaharama.

My husband and I stayed at Brinkhouse and I think it was our favourite accommodation in the whole month we were in Sri Lanka. We stayed in the Deluxe room which was so worth it. The bed was really comfortable, we had a lovely balcony that got sun in the day time, the whole room was extremely clean and modern. A bonus was the small kitchen area in the room, so useful! The family were extremely friendly, I couldn’t recommend brinkhouse enough! The location was absolutely perfect, tucked away but still in the main heart of Unawatuna, just perfect.

They have wifi in the room, the reception is not the best one, but works.

The rooms are a bit outdated, it didn't bother me but maybe it might bother other people. In addition, I took a room without air conditioning, although it had several fans, it was very difficult to manage in the room in the Sri Lankan weather. On the other hand, there are rooms with air conditioning in the hotel, so I highly recommend booking them. I didn't pay attention to this emphasis when booking and when I arrived and saw that I had booked a room without air conditioning, the other rooms with air conditioning were already occupied. Other than that, a great place with lots of nature around - I got to see a power lizard and squirrels in the yard during breakfast more than once.

The hotel is about a minute's walk from the beach. The rooms are clean, large and spacious. The internet works great. The breakfast is excellent. The host family at the hotel goes above and beyond to make you feel at home, the owner helps a lot. An example that happened to me - my cell phone fell into the sea, the owner tried to help me dry it and when we still couldn't fix it, he drove with me in his private car to another city to find me a repair lab. We went through several places until we found a lab that fixed my phone. In summary, a great price for a great place. Highly recommend.

Great value for money. Very good location, big balconies with wooden chairs, looking to a garden with big trees. Big rooms with cupboards and hangers etc. Very clean. The family is warm and helpful.

It was very good. The only negative was we were on the middle floor with one group on the top floor very noisy one night moving their furniture around. The only thing missing was a safe deposit box in the room. Plenty of storage space was provided.

Quiet location back from the beach but close to it and all the restaurants bars etc. Wildlife birds and animals, including monkeys viewed from the terrace balcony. Lovely family running it. Delightful breakfast with good choice.

It is very nice place near the beach, 1-2 minutes. Good breakfast, kindly hosts. The place is like an oasis. There are different animals what make the relax more exciting. Highly recommend this place for your relax 🌱

The owner goes to bed early, so when our bathroom sink broke a little at 10pm, we had to wait until the morning to tell the owner. The fan is not located directly above the bed, so it was a little hot to sleep

Great house with spacious rooms. Great terrace. Friendly owner. There are gorgeous palm trees around the house. Good shower. A monitor lizard walks in the yard.

It’s a very basic setup but as to be expected as the price is so reasonable. Our biggest issues was that it was so so hot in the room, there is a fan but it is not directly above the bed. However after messaging the host he did provide another table fan.

Brinkhouse was really cheap and in a great location. The hosts were really friendly and very helpful.
