Our host was the kindest, most thoughtful man who went out of his way to make our stay so memorable. The rooms were immaculate. He has fresh flower petals on the beds, a beautiful varied breakfast every morning for us and even made me some beautiful flower chains to wear out when we were leaving for dinner. He showed us lots of lovely places to eat and places to visit. Definitely worth staying here if you want a personable homely stay. Location was also fantastic- walking distance to everything.

The location of the property is perfect. Only a 2 minute walk to the start of Mirissa beach, but far enough away that it’s nice and quiet on an evening. The room was spacious with a large bed, bathroom and your own balcony. The breakfast was amazing every morning, with a mix of Sri Lankan and western foods. But by far the best thing about this place is the owner. He is by far the nicest host we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. He really made us feel like we were at home.

The location is perfect; a very short walk from the beach and away from the main road so it’s nice and quiet. But that is just the beginning. It is Prasad’s personal touch that takes it to the truly exceptional level, and beyond! From the breakfast to all the help he offers and his eye for detail. He has a long list of fantastic tips for restaurants, beaches and other things to do. You want something? Prasad will take care of it. We were there during low season so he even had time to drive us around. I’ve never seen a personal touch better than Prasad’s. Prasad; we love you!

CanadaI can't rate Bon Accord highly enough ❤️ great location, just a short walk from the beach, harbour, shops, restaurants, and an ATM. It was impeccably clean and the room was tended to daily, complete with fresh flowers. The value was excellent and included a very generous and beautiful homemade breakfast in the morning. We were also able to book transportation and whale watching through the property. Prasad was a wonderful host and made every aspect of our stay pleasant and easy. He runs Bon Accord with great care, and it was very much appreciated.

CyprusFirst of all, I can't say enough for the owner Prasad. 6-star hospitality!!! Excellent breakfast, super clean, gave us very helpful tips and suggested excellent places. He really seems to love what he is doing and really cared about us. In the second night I was feeling sick, and he woke up like at 3 o'clock in the morning and went with his car to get me some paracetamol! The room was super clean with lovely smell and all amenities. Even towels for the beach! Laundry services as well. Every day the room was cleaned up. Thank you, Prasad!! Totally recommended!!!

We were welcomed to the homestay with an ice cold flannel and fresh juice, and this level of attention remained throughout our stay, including lovely touches such as giving my girlfriend flowers for her hair every day and explaining the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable - it was lovely to be a part of this homestay.

Everything about my stay here was amazing. The main thing to say is that the host is incredibly kind, helpful, knowledgeable and generous! For example, he took me to get my whale watching ticket, then sped me to the boat on his motorbike so I could beat the others there and get the best seat! He also gave me a lift to the station when I checked out which was incredibly kind. He gave amazing restaurant recommendations too, and provided a beach bag and towel which was handy. The room was big, modern, clean and had good facilities like a fridge (v useful!). Bathroom was clean and good. The room was cleaned every day which was great. The AC in the room works really well too. The location is fantastic - quiet during the night, but super close to the beach and restaurants/cafes so you can walk anywhere you need to get to. The breakfasts were sensational, huge with different local options each day. If you want an amazing homestay in Mirissa, which is suitable for the expectations of Westerners, then this is the place.
