Bokka Almeida is a beautiful little oasis, a five minute walk away from Hikkaduwa and the beach. My room was basic but clean spacious with a beautiful view of the pool. The staff were welcoming and always happy to help. Breakfast was a beautiful mix of fresh locally grown fruits, toast and eggs or you could opt for a more traditional Sri Lankan style, both equally delicious.

As a solo traveller i did get pestered a lot for Tuk Tuk rides and had to haggle for prices as they instantly thought they could take advantage, I also wanted to walk and explore so it was rather irritating after a while. However prices were easily negotiated.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our two week trip traveling around Sri Lanka. The property was nice and modern and the big pool was great. The whole team were super helpful and friendly and max the dog was a lovely addition to have around the property 🙂

Lovely place to stay in a peaceful area but still close to the beach via a pretty walk. Staff were amazing and so friendly and accommodating. Thank you for making our stay special

The location was amazing. It’s a new build so super clean but many basics missing

It’s felt unfinished. The seat cushions on the patio were raw foam without covers which stuck to your skin when sitting on them. Basic essentials were missing. Kettle / soap. Lighting was sparse, the rooms were very dark. The front of house manager needs a better understanding of customer service but the rest of the staff were thoughtful and hardworking

Very nice setting, very big rooms with great bathroom. The pool was very nice with loungers. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Construction feels like it's just been completed so some final touches still need to be done. Wifi was not good. Be careful around the reception and pool when it's we because it becomes slipery.

Beautiful location in well maintained tropical garden with a huge swimming pool, located just a short stroll to the beach. Huge room. Great breakfast with lots of variety. Super helpful staff made me feel right at home. There was a playful puppy called Max who is super cute

A super clean and brand new hotel. The staff is very sweet, they do everything to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Room is very comfortable and large, great shower and air-conditioning. Location was beautiful and quiet, just the sounds of nature surrounding you

Absolutely nothing

The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great bathroom and shower and beautiful pool to swim in. The location is fantastic as well. Nice and quiet peaceful place to stay out of the hustle and bustle but still in walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants

There were some things not finished and a few wires hanging from the walls. Could have done with a bag rack to put bags on.

We liked everything about this property, it was perfect. Staff were excellent, breakfast was really personal and we have to say - This was the best accommodation we have ever stayed in throughout all the years of travelling, better than some five star hotels purely based on the design of the bungalows and their proximity to pool which made it feel like your own personal houses. This place was awsome!

Nothing - Except maybe a bar!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The pool was definitely a highlight. It’s a very good size for the number of rooms, and the design and build quality makes it feel very luxurious. There were also plenty of sun loungers. The whole experience was very tranquil, being set back a few streets from the main beach and restaurant area but easily walkable. The management and staff were very friendly and approachable. The property is relatively new, so the rooms were immaculately clean and well presented. Great hot shower with good pressure, efficient air con, fridge, kettle. No hesitation in recommending this place and we would definitely stay again.

Standard breakfast hours are a bit late (from 8am) if you want to get out early, but breakfast itself was good. Pillows were too hard for our liking but this is a personal preference.

Love this place! It's a new resort and everything is clean and very well kept. Really nice A/C villa with polished concrete wet room bathroom and big comfy bed. Fabulous large pool, all in a nice grass landscaped private complex, just 5 min walk to the beach. Great breakfast and friendly English speaking staff. Definitely the best place we stayed during our whole Sri Lanka trip. Will definitely visit again. Thanks.

The two boys that made breakfast was very nice

Hotel is not ready and a lot of things don't work. And it looks like nothing will change in near future. Basic stuff like soap, toilette paper etc is not working. Attitude is unengaged and laid back. Still they charge rooms like a premium hotel

Lovely bright and airy villa. Large comfortable bed with mosquito net. Lots of sockets (albeit in odd places). Ceiling fan and good a/c. Good shower & plenty of hot water. Great pool and high quality comfy sun loungers in a well cared for garden. Good breakfast (except coffee which is awful) & sweet staff. Close to lots of restaurants and bars (no alcohol sold on property).

Not yet finished. No parasols by the pool but apparently they are in the process of designing them! Kettle and cups in the room but no tea/coffee. No toiletries or pool towels provided. One towel per person in room. No hand towels, wash cloths or bath mat.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Pool was lovely also clean. Staff are very friendly.
