Fabulous room in a great location. Room was spacious, clean and had cooking facilities, though we did not use. Our room also had a fridge/freezer which was great for our water and any snacks. Hot water from the shower. Staff were so helpful and accommodating, arranged airport transfer for us and also gave us a late checkout when they found our our flight home was late in the evening, this was much appreciated 😊 would highly recommend! Thank you.

I had a delightful stay at Blue Whales. The ambiance was serene, and the accommodations were well-maintained, ensuring a peaceful retreat. While a small improvement like a glass door in the shower could enhance convenience, it didn't overshadow the overall positive experience. I applaud the staff for their warm hospitality, making my visit memorable.

Couldn't stay longer!!

This is a new hotel. It is super clean, tastefully decorated and has really nice higher end spec fittings. Absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful staff, who you could have a laugh with. Our room was a great size, complete with a kitchen area with sink & cooking utensils, toaster, kettle, etc., even a fridge freezer. Massive, comfortable bed. Excellent air con and powerful fan. Good sized bathroom with great hot shower. Lovely balcony area to watch the wildlife (which we saw lots). Excellent location just off the main road, so only 2 minutes from the beach. Lots of restaurants and shops on your doorstep. Stayed for 3 weeks and had a fabulous holiday. Would highly recommend Blue Whales and we would not hesitate to return. Thank you for a fantastic, peaceful stay.

The room had everything I needed, including a well-equipped kitchenette with all the essentials. From the bed to the furniture, it was all there. I've shortened my stay in December and I still haven't received money back for the days I haven't stayed there. Accommodation was actually half under construction. They had flexible booking where you can always cancel so I shortened my stay but didn't get the money. If you are searching peace and quiet this is definetly not for your.

I had two main problems at check in: 1. I booked a one bedroom apartment (602 ft2) and was given a small room as seen in the pictures. The staff wasn't even sorry, and asked me to cancel my reservation. There was a two bedroom apartment available but they did not accept to upgrade me for free, so I got downgraded at the same price! To make it worse, they gave the 2 bedroom apartment to a girl the next day 'because she was crying', It was NYE, all other hotels were fully booked so I decided to stay. 2. The staff demanded that I keep my passport with them, that a copy is not sufficient. THIS IS AGAINST SRI LANKAN LAW, so please don't accept! I called a booking.com agent who resolved the matter and forced them to take a copy only. Besides all that, the hotel is located next to a club and the railway, so imagine all the noise both day and night. Moreover, there were no amenities whatsoever (soap, shower gel, toilet paper). I also had a lizard and huge insect in the room on different days. It's just very sad that my stay ended up like that, as only some effort would have made it a really good one
