Overall we were disappointed with the accomodation and hospitality for the price we paid. The room was clean and basic but the plumbing in the bathroom is not up to standard (very low water pressure, poor drainage) There is a lack of information on arrival so expect to have to ask one of the few staff for anything you need.

If location were everything, this place would get a score of 11. Nestled at the end of a beautiful, clean sandy beach, the Blissbay has the best spot of all the beachfront bars and hotels. Dinner on the beach was really special (the food is good too). The resort felt safe, which is important.

Rooms could be cleaner, and are in need of some repair and renewal.

A beautiful place, on a quiet part of the beach. Swimming and dine snorkeling nearby are excellent. Good at the restaurant is delicious and better value than elsewhere in Nilaveli. I understand rooms are to be refurbished, which is needed. Manager and staff are friendly, helpful and very good at cricket.

finding the hotel was hard. The Bungalow bathrooms were great but can use a bit more tidying (Looked as if the renovations were incomplete).

I stayed in the Bungalow. It was a beautiful place and was very comfortable. The beds were excellent and outdoor was great too, with a safe access to the beach. The breakfast buffet was delicious and exceeded my expectations. Can't wait to come back again :)

Overall I am hapy about my stay ; the location is great, right in front of a beautiful beach with almost no one. Leonard was a great manager, always helpful and quick in respondng to our needs. On the other hand, one immediatly get the feeling that this hotel is a bit let down and would need some refurbishment but given the past of this part of the country that was absolutly no problem to me...

We had a fantastic stay at Bliss Bay at the rock. The location was absolutely beautiful—right next to the beach, where we enjoyed relaxing mornings and stunning sunsets. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The place was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind by the ocean. We’d definitely love to come back!

Nice rooms, nice people. The location is good - almost no one is nearby, but walk a little along the beach and there are bars and parties. There are islands nearby. I have good impressions. I recommend it!

The manager, Leonard was creepy and offered to give me a massage on the first night I got there. As a woman travelling solo, this is alarming. The manager also spent his days sitting out on the beach which meant that if I were to use the beach infront of the accommodation, he would be watching me. The tuktuk driver who lives on the property was sending me multiple text messages everyday, asking how I am, of I have had lunch yet etc The tuktuk driver jumped the railing on my private balcony to "work" on the balcony? There were also men working on my front terrace area. Not sure why they have to work on my room when there were other rooms that were unoccupied and vacant. Lastly, at 1am someone came to the front of my room and switched off the electricity from the fuse box. All in all I felt unsafe. To go to a grocery store or atm I needed to take a tuktuk which I didn't want to do because of how much the tuktuk driver was messaging me. I ended up leaving the accommodation before the end of my booking because I felt scared and unsafe. Also note that WiFi is only available in the restaurant, not in the rooms and that there is no hot water for showers. These things are not stated anywhere.

The rooms are a nice size and are fairly nice considering the price and everything was clean. The restaurant staff were lovely and made some delicious food.

We rented 3 room, and the bathroom in one of the rooms was worn-out, rusted. The beach beds were weather beaten, not to mention the few matracces available.

The food was excellent, and a beach is also nice.

Property is not well maintained. Trash laying around. Rooms are very basic. Cold showers. Breakfast is not worth it. Lots of stray dogs on the property that chased our youngest child. For 65 EUR per night (2 adults + 2 children in one room) way overpriced. Manager was hanging out at the restaurant most of the time enjoying himself. Probably the worst hotel during our 3 week trip on the island.

Amazing place for someone who is looking to stay right next to the beach. Great location, and the staff are all very welcoming and friendly. They want to help and they do everything to make your stay special. Food is also very good. You can also eat your meal on the beach.The rooms are quite simple but with clean, white bedding. Towels provided.

The room we stayed in was quite run down, the photos don’t match the room we were in. Maybe we got an overflow room because it seemed quite busy. The Manager was saying how they have suffered quite a bit during covid which is really sad but the rooms and facilities need an upgrade to make it worth the $60aud per night. The beach seating was damaged also not what’s in the photos. Unfortunately it was really expensive for what we got. In saying that I would come back because of the location and hopefully they have done some work…

Location was amazing Breakfast was so delicious the staff really made an effort. Staff were friendly and were able to organise a tuk tuk for us.

The location is perfect. The sea is very calm at this end of the beach and very warm. There was a good choice for breakfast. Either Sri Lanka style or English. The staff are very friendly and helpful with a good command of English...also the dogs are well looked after. We learned a bit about Sri Lankan culture. And felt like part of the family. Ever

The location of the hotel is like no other with the wide open space in the premises. The beach is by far the cleanest we've ever seen and ideal for a morning or evening dip. The staff were very courteous, friendly and hospitable making us feel welcome. The food was tasty with a perfect blend of spices picked from the garden. All in all, the perfect place to kick back and relax.
