The hotel is family-run and has very nice staff. The breakfast was good, sunbeds on the beach were included, and the beach itself was beautiful. Overall, we really enjoyed the hospitality and had a pleasant stay.

A truly wonderful stay at this beach hotel. The location was perfect with a private beach just steps away, and the pool area was absolutely lovely. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The staff were warm and welcoming, and we especially loved meeting the friendly hotel dog, which added a really personal touch. Great amenities and a relaxing atmosphere made it a stay to remember.

Everything was perfect

We had the most wonderful stay at BeachMirissa and honestly didn’t want to leave! The hosts were amazing—so welcoming, attentive, and truly made us feel at home. We were traveling with our 4-month-old and 4-year-old, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was bright, spacious, and spotlessly clean with a breathtaking view. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of options—fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, sausages, cereal, and pancakes. The location couldn’t have been better: right on the beach, which felt almost private as it was never too crowded. It’s also in a great spot with lots of restaurants nearby, and the hosts were happy to give recommendations. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. They arranged our airport pickup (including a car seat for the baby), organised a driver for our day trip to Galle, Unawatuna, and the turtle hatchery, and helped with transport for the next part of our trip. It was a perfect stay, and we’d return in a heartbeat the next time we’re in Sri Lanka!

Had a fantastic stay at a hotel run very kind family—dad, mom and son. The hospitality was amazing, and the staff was super focused on great service. The hotel is right on the beach in a less touristy area, and it was great to grab a drink right on the sand at either Tipsy Turtle or Bunga Bunga

Good communication throughout . Very friendly owners with their lovely dog. Warm welcome , clear explanation and comfortable , clean room with everything needed including a cloth horse to dry up towels and swimming costume on the terrace . A/C and fan working well . Very pleasant room and very large bathroom. Breakfast choice of western or Sri Lanka was served out and excellent. They can accommodate dietary needs . Restaurants recommendation worked well for us . The beach is right at the back of the hotel - direct access! Transport to Galle and to Weligama station were organised efficiently by hotel at our request - driver came on time . Price agreed ahead of the service. We requested a simple packed lunch early morning in our last day as we had to take the train and they packed what we asked for. The property has an adjacent poster / souvenir shop which has interesting objects and cards .

Fantastic location, 5min walk to Coconut Tree hill, right next to Turtle Bay beach, close to Parrot Rock, nearby restaurants and Secret Root Spa is a short tuk tuk ride away. Lovely family run hotel, we stayed during our honeymoon in Sri Lanka and the hospitality was fantastic. Breakfast was a major highlight! Cadell also helped organise a whale watching trip, where we were lucky enough to see a blue whale!

The building is tired and could use a bit of a touch up. Aircon wasn’t the worst but could use a service perhaps. Everything is completely functional and again the room is great value for money.

We stayed 3 nights at BeachMirissa and couldn’t fault our time here. The lovely family who run this are always so welcoming, attentive and helped us multiple times arrange a driver for a good price. The rooms were large and have a nice sea view. Being right opposite the prime turtle spot in Mirissa is a huge bonus. Very central location, with coconut tree hill a short walk away, as well as a short 10 min walk into Mirissa for eating. They make your bed everyday (lovely bedding and bed) and supply you with new bottled water. The staff were all so lovely and made a wonderful assortment for breakfast each day. They clearly run a great operation here. Great value for money.

The beach front area is a little small and can get busy with people overflowing from the bar next door.

Fantastic family run hotel fronting Turtle Beach Point. The hotel has its own pool and beach and the rooms are huge with massive sea-view terraces. But above all, the family which run the hotel were genuinely some of the nicest people I have come across - going above and beyond the regular call of duty and even visiting me twice when I was admitted to hospital! We only stayed 4 nights and wish we’d stayed longer! The hotel is perfectly located on the main road in Mirissa and situated within a few metres from popular restaurants and attractions such The Slow, Le Mer, Petti Petti and Coconut Tree Hill. I would definitely stay again!

We loved this well run. very friendly hotel. It is right on the beach with lovely sea views from all the rooms. Eating breakfast by the pool with a view over the gardens to the sea was a real highlight each morning. The staff were very flexible with breakfast options, even digging out their jar of marmite when I forgot mine! The staff are wonderful - all of them so friendly, happy and helpful and this really made our stay here special. The family who run the hotel all speak excellent English and have a great sense of humour which made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Their advice on certain trips - one of them whale watching, was honest and unpressurised and allowed us to make an informed decision about whether to take it or not. There are lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk and the water here is safe for swimming and snorkelling. You can see turtles and lots of fish in the sea right by the hotel.

Such a friendly hotel - really comfortable room and bed, good aircon and a fantastic balcony overlooking the sea. Amazing being able to walk a few steps down to the beach with hotel loungers to use. Also a nice touch to have snorkels available to borrow to see turtles. Lovely breakfast and catered to my boyfriend’s dietary requirements as a vegan.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 days and we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is run by a family, the owners and all the staff were exceptionally lovely, very friendly, always available around the clock for any concerns and fulfill every wish. They organize drivers, give tips on excursions and recommend restaurants and, when I had abdominal problems one day, they even brought breakfast to my room without being asked. Top location, directly on the beach, many bars and restaurants within walking distance of the main beach of Mirissa, good loungers with cushions on the beach and at the pool, dream view from the balcony to the sea. The rooms are large and very clean and the breakfast was plentiful and very good (fruit, eggs of your choice, bacon, sausages, bread, jam, fruit juice, tea or coffee). There is a small bar on the beach right by the hotel (but not part of the hotel). In front of the hotel you can swim in the sea, unlike the main beach of Mirissa, where there are always high waves. Just around the corner you can snorkel well, you can see sea turtles and colorful reef fish. Snorkeling equipment can be rented free of charge at the hotel. If we come back to Sri Lanka, we will certainly come back.

It is noisy, the air conditiong engines are in the corridor and we could hear the noise in the room. Also there is a power generator close to the hotel making a constant noise, that we could hear almost the full day, even inside the room. The drains are smelly depending on the room. Overall we felt that Mirissa town was overpriced for what you can get.

The staff is amazing, it is a family hotel and they were great with us. The room is spacious with nice views, breakfast very good and pool close to the beach. We asked for a late checkout and the allowed us to stay without paying anything else. Location is good, just beside Turtle beach for snorkeling and see Turtles. Many restaurants close to the hotel.
