Very close to the train line and trains start from about 6am.

Great location for surfing in midigama. A stones throw from the beach. Has a pool which is a great place to cool down. Rooms were great, mosquito free and nets all around the beds. No aircon but the ceiling fan is enough to keep you cool during the night. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm and there was no one in there except for the last night.

The bed is quite uncomfortable, and the rooms need a renovation and a bit of paint. The bathroom window doesn't have a glass so there's quite a few bugs coming into the room.

The location is quite good (minus the train), staff, vibes and swimming pool are good too. Good value for money for private room with a pool near the beach.

Just one wall plug in the whole room. No toilet door in the room stayed , just a curtain which felt akward. Most lockers in the room were damaged.

Good location, although the arial images make it look more remote than what it is. Could do with a fitted sheet on the bed and the pillows weren’t comfortable. Right on the trainline - We didn’t mind as much, although as the train goes by at 11pm and 5am it’s very loud.

Nice pool, staff were super friendly. Some good bars and restaurants near the hotel. Room was really good for the price with fan and clean bathroom.

Asanka and his family are super friendly! The private room was big and very comfortable. The location is great as there's a shortcut straight to the beach. It can get loud in the evening depending on how busy it is but I would definitely stay there again.

With a two week stay at this place we really wanted to love it but there were just too many things. We're pretty chill and have been travelling in budget accommodation for a year, but we felt we needed to share our experience because we wouldn't have booked if we'd known. The good: great location to access the surf breaks. The food in the on site restaurant is all good. The not so good is: (1) we didn't get a single decent sleep: The beds sucked! Night one the slats were atrocious to the point we were falling through the beds (pictured) and the mattress was so thin - especially worn around the middle. They fixed the slats but not the mattress. We continued to complain about the mattress several times before we got a new one, still shit but a far-cry from what we started with. We talked to other people who were taking the pool bed mats and using them as an extra layer! The train feelt like it was in our room (and blasting the horn as it cruised past at 5:30am), it didn't help that our window was broken and despite many 'yes we'll fix it' remained broken. One of the nights the owner and his sons sat out in the Yoga spot drinking and talking loudly until around 1am. By this time we had a whole noise routine of earplugs and white noise and yet we still got woken by them. By late morning the booze bottle and ciggys were still in the yoga space. (2)Cleaning & maintenance The pool was never actually clean (always bugs floating around) and maybe only 50% of the time was swimmable thanks to being murky and green. We asked for our room to be serviced every 3-4 days. It was always an issue with linen : They'd not have enough so would skip your room, one time we shared a single top sheet between two of us, another time they took the used towel away and couldn't replace it so we just didn't have a towel overnight. Totally unnecessary drama, the linen is cheap quality anyway so just buy some more!

Great location in terms of being close to the beach and surf breaks (not so much in terms of the train noise). The food in the site restaurant is good.

My room was right next to the very noisy train tracks which wake you up in the morning. There was a pool but it did not seem to get cleaned. When I checked in I was not given any information about anything but staff were helpful when I had a question. There was no mosquito net in the room and open window sections so lots of bugs came in.

Great location - right by the beach and nearby bars and cafes.
