The mattresses where uncomfortable, the AC was not working really good and the location is a bit far from the part of the beach where life takes place (restaurants etc.).

The place was nice, there where sitting areas outside and we could do our laundry for 2000 LKR for 5kg of clothes. We did the dolphin and snorkeling tour adviced by the place and it was really nice, we totally recommend it.

The room I had booked had no window, what I think is a must. The place was fully booked but since a few clients didn't show up, I could switch room. Than you for that.

Is very quiet place. Really nice host. Great that is common room, kitchen and share bathroom. Room was ok with mosquito net. Bathroom was clean. Near is the junction where you can catch the bus to the Centre.

Place is a bit remote, but that also makes it more quiet. Bathroom has a slightly damp smell, probably because humidity can't get out.

Nice and quiet place in a beautiful garden. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bike/scooter rental is a good opportunity to explore Trinco at an affordable price. Value for money is amazing here. Owner helped me to catch the right bus after check out and kept my bags in his room. Thank you!

Super humid in the room/bathroom which made it warm in the room, and a lot of flies in the garden/outside. There was a fan in the room however which made it more bearable. Also the beds are pretty short, but thats maybe just this part of the world (Asia).

Clean room, location is good. There is a really basic kitchen (stove, cutlery and some pots and pans) which was ok. Quiet surrounding areas and a bakery (!) next door, just knock on their door and you can buy baked goods directly from "factory".

Though fans were there, the temperature inside the building was slightly higher than the outside natural air, due to air tightness and the dry season. Can improve if more vents were installed, with nets for preventing any insects getting in. There were A/C rooms as well, but we opted for non A/C, as it was the right size room for our crew. Solar hot water would also be a good option than having electric water heater for the shower.

We could bring in food from out side and eat there. We were able to cook meals if needed and we made our own tea. we had the freedom of making the stay as we wanted which was a great relief with the kids. Good water supply for shower. Nice and clean. The place is well maintained. Friendly and supportive staff.

Dirty towels, dirty bathroom with a smelly paper .. the bed was not comfortable. But overall for this price it was okay. I felt like i’m in some kind of camping.

The owner was really nice and helpful. They have a laundry service for 1000 rupees for 2 kg, which was convenient.

It's not really a minus, but note that only few rooms have AC, other equipped just with a fan, which is not really sufficient in such a hot place like Trincomalee. But, God bless, Amila Guest has huge garden providing shade and cooling air.

I didn't Ike it, I loved it! A hidden gem with a big garden, spatious rooms and great vibe. The facilities are not all fancy, some rooms are quite dark - but the super sweet host Fahard compensates for all eventual disadvantages. A very kind and adorable person, he is doing his best and even more to help you with everything and make your stay comfortable. He can help you with arranging a scooter and dolphin watching tour as well for a good price (cheaper than in the beach shops). I stayed there 8 days and would stay even longer because it felt completely like a family. I enjoyed every day there. Thank you Fahard for your limitless hospitality and such a nice place.
