The Staff were excellent, kind, helpful and created a relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent, the coffee was great and you don't get a better view, right on the beach. The room we stayed in was perfect for us, we loved it.

As soon as I arrived i was greeted with a refreshing juice and when shown to my room was absolutely blown away by the view and balcony overlooking the ocean...amazing! Room was huge and location was perfect 👌 Staff were absolutely amazing! When i return to hikkaduwa i will be staying again 💯 and definitely recommend that anyone travelling to sri lanka does the same! Also the complimentary breakfasts...soooo good! ❤️

Amazing stay at Amaroo Hikkaduwa! The property is right by the beach with lovely rooms and terrace. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the food is outstanding. Beautiful grounds with a restaurant and sunbeds. We also took surf lessons—highly recommend, the instructors were excellent!

The staff are excellent - very friendly, welcoming and will help you arrange all activities/transport. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Ideally located on the beach front with a good selection of food available. Overall, great value for money and definitely the best accommodation I had during my Sri Lanka trip, would stay here again.

This property felt modern and very chic! The staff were super helpful and friendly. We went in their off season but they still offered us surfing lessons. Also, we were a great breakfast every morning of our stay there. I highly recommend it!

Exceptional stay at a very beautiful hotel by the beach. The staff were very supportive and attentive. The food here was exceptional, the tuna poke bowl divine. Furthermore, this place has a lovely cocktail menu, I tried many, all with a Sri Lankan twist, delicious and divine. The morning breakfast was fresh, and there was a selection of morning coffees and teas. The rooms were spacious and elegant with a comfortable bed. Just sitting reading on the balcony of your room or on the deck chairs watching and listening to the waves was very healing when a place like this provides the vibes.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We loved the outdoor shower. The breakfast’s were delicious and they stuck to a Sri Lankan theme. You also got a coffee/tea/iced coffee included. The staff were lovely and friendly. We got a welcome smoothie which was a lovely touch. The communal area is also wonderful to hang out in during the evenings. We had a fantastic cocktail.

Everything about this place is spectacular. The room itself was beautiful and clean. The aircon worked very well and cooled the room down within a few minutes. The bed was comfortable and there was reliably hot water. The beach and sunbed areas were clean, comfortable, some parts in the shade and they have a full menu with reasonably priced food and drinks. What really made this place special was the staff. Every single one of the people working here was friendly, polite and kind. Some of the guys remembered our names from the first day and were so lovely and hard working. I also did surf lessons with Kalu who was very knowledgeable and helpful and made the lessons really fun.

Noise from outside air conditioning unit- we were able to sleep but it was quite noisy and annoying Pillows-small and quiet hard

For us, it was the perfect stay! Nothing to dislike!

We were looking for a place to relax and we found exactly that. The rooms are beautiful, very quiet and comfortable with a nice balcony to spend hours watching the sea. The restaurant/ sunbed area is also suberb, you can chill there all day long. At sunset they will set up tables right at the beach. It was the perfect location. The breakfast is great, every day you get different dishes, from toast, to pancakes to Sri Lankan breakfast! The staff is very friendly and funny. My special thanks goes to my surf Instructor Kalu, who was very knowledgeable, patient and an excellent teacher! I took 3 lessons, wish I could have done more, and he really knows how to help you to progress according to your needs. I highly recommend Amaroo!

Very beautiful beach stay! We stayed here for 2 nights and it was fantastic value for money. The staff were super friendly, the location was amazing and the different breakfasts each day were great! Along with fantastic iced morning coffees!
