It was my first time in a guesthouse and I can’t tell how much I loved it. Amal and his family are SO welcoming and nice, the place is super clean, the rooms are very comfortable. I recommend 100%, and would come back 100%.

Amal is a great host . Location is great - quiet and yet close to the beach. Room was spacious and clean. Shower 10/10❤️loved the shared decking terrace and kitchen . Whale watching tour booked via Amal was great . Good WiFi and aircon . Laundry done a stones throw away .

Location. We had a balcony.

Very clean accommodation. Large, comfortable bed. Hot shower. Mosquito net. Within walking distance to beach, shops, restaurants. Access to the kitchen. Very nice staff. Juice prepared on arrival.

No views from the balcony (looking directly into the window of the neighbouring accommodation). No sofa / comfortable seating area. Room can feel very warm on hot days. Small bathroom.

A really lovely property owned by a wonderful family. We had a comfortable stay :)

The only improvement we would suggest would be bigger sheet covers on the bed, as the ones we had felt quite small to sleep with.

The most clean accommodation in Sri Lanka! For sure! :) Good location, big bed, good AC, nice terrace, the owner a great person which smiles always. Free parking places. Excellent quality for the price we paid!

Some noise in the nearby neighbourhood in the evenings, we were probably a bit unlucky.

The owner of Amal Guest House is very kind and helpful. The accommodation is pleasant, also thanks to the covered terrace. Some rooms have a fan, some air conditioning. You need to pay attention to this when booking.

I was alone in the double room and I was a bit missing a smaller wardrobe/chest of drawers. But it is possible that other rooms have this equipment.

Amal and his family are incredibly welcoming :) beach is a 5min walk and restaurants for breakfast/lunch/dinner are just around the corner. Amal also helped me sort out some errands :)

Amal was a very welcoming and helpful host, the family were all very friendly. The room was a great size, comfy bed and brilliant AC! There is also a shared kitchen available for use and a fridge to cool drinks!!

Amal and his family was amazing host. They helped with anything needed during our stay. The location is great near mainroad and the beach and the bed was spacious enough for us to sleep 2 adults and 2 small children. Thanks for a great stay Amal, I would 100% recommend!

Very clean property and close to some good restaurants and the beach. The hosts were lovely and always willing to help with booking activities or tuk tuks/cars. Pretty basic facilities but in good condition and comfortable. The balcony was great to relax on too.

Small bathroom so everithing gets wet, room without aircondition has pictures whereon air condition is so i was very upset that in my room aircondition is not amd it is very hot in Mirrisa

We loved this guest house! The family are so lovely, and the rooms are comfy and clean - it was the cleanest place we stayed during our 2 weeks Sri Lanka (and the strongest wifi connection too!). The perfect location for exploring Mirissa, and on a quiet side street. Great value for money. We would definitely stay again.

Situated in a back street a short walk (10 mins) from the main road and beach, this place is very quiet with plenty of nearby eating and drinking options. It’s situated in a dead end road so there is very little traffic. The room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. The owner and his family are very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay.

Super clean, fresh juice on arrival, super friendly owners happy to help with your time there, I felt safe and also met some new people whilst there!

Amal and his family are very nice and helpful. The Guesthouse is close to town and beach. The room was big enough and clean.

The terrace is nice and cosy. It would make it even more comfortable if it had something like a hammock or beach chair, to spend the time. The tables are nice, but not so comfortable. Would have been helpful to have a cupboard in the room for the clothes.

Really friendly, great room that suited our needs perfectly.
