You need a tuktuk to get there and anywhere. No need to be afraid of the dogs, peacocks and monkeys in the garden, however the monkeys sometimes jumping on our roof at night and screaming was rather disturbing. (he said he will take care of it in the future) The communication with him sometimes was a bit difficult but we always made it work.

The rooms were really nice, clean and spacious. There is a small terrace and a hammock. The food was really good and a lot (we could never finish it all). You can have homemade dinner from his wife. The host really tries to do his best. He has a big vision of his hotel/property and works hard to make it work.

The property was in great condition, very clean and well maintained. It’s located in the country side, so you get to see how locals live, however, it is a 5 minute drive to the Main Street of sigiriya making it a convenient location. The owner is a very polite and kind local, who takes you on tours through the countryside to see how locals live. I have never had someone be so willing to take us out without asking for money in return. He spent 7 hours driving us around to all the nice places in Sigiriya, and when we tried to give him a generous tip as a thank you, he declined the offer multiple times. He made our trip priceless and I would highly recommend staying here.

Our stay at the Green Garden Hotel was truly pleasant. The owner was extremely kind. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The rooms were immaculate, beautiful, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed. A truly relaxing place with gorgeous peacocks strolling around the patio. I highly recommend it, a true gem.

Best place to stay if you’re wanting to be near Roy’s Villa with a pool + family dinner! So affordable and the owner is lovely, brought us coffee at 5am before our early check out. Great shower pressure and newly built rooms, good AC - couldn’t recommend it more. Best place to stay in Sigiriya for sure!

If you are looking for a social and very active place this is not the place for you. But it is very close to Roy’s Villa where most people spend their social life, easy to walk over.

You get your own cabin which is very big and nice. The room is very clean and fresh. The guy who owns it is very friendly and helpful, although he is limited because of his English but I used google translate which worked just fine.

Since it’s a bit away from the centrum it’s not a lot of resturants and stores close by.

The host of this hotel is amazing! He got me fresh pressed juce and showed me around in the garden, offerd a bunch of different acctivities and even drove me to a supermarket for free. The accomidation is super clean with good working ac and wifi. If you are staying in Sigiriya I would really recomend this place! Also super close to roys and its possible to join ther acctivities aswell.

We had a very nice stay at Ela Addara Green Villa. It was such a cute and out in nature vibe; there are plenty of wild animals just outside the door (monkeys, peacocks, squirrels…), it’s a beautiful cabin and the owner seems to have lots of lovely plans for the housing and the garden. Also, and the owner is very kind, and he made sure to prepare us local breakfast on our first morning. Thank you so much.

This stay is 10/10! Host Sagara is the most generous man we have ever met. He took care of us so well, gave us homemade juice and coconuts of own garden, a tour in the village and breakfast. Besides that the apartment is very clean and luxurious with an amazing shower and kingsize bed. Big recommendation!

The room is very spacious with a big and confortabme bed. The small villa is surounded by a beautiful garden. The bathroom is nice too with an amazing warm and strong shower. The owner is super friendly and helpful with everything. If you are traveling alone and want to meet people I suggest to go to the nearby Roys Vila and join their activities.

Excellent stay here The host could not have been more helpful - but his english was limited! The siutation is perfect as Roys Villa is 3 min walk away and this provides a trendy cafe/bar/meals for backpackers, value for money orgnaised trips to safari or the rock, yoga, relaxing platofrm to watch paddy field life etc and lots of lovely young people and staff to chat to. You do not have to be staying at Roys Villa to enjoy any of these.

Host is supernice, the rooms have recently been build and the host is still in the process of building extra units. Location is a little bit remote. Rooms are superclean, big and well air conditioned, breakfast is also included and quiet nice.

While the room is fully ready, the outside area is still in progress. There are already some super cool aspects like the large hammock and the chairs on the terrace, but it's visible that they're still actively working on making it even better. I guess lucky for you, because you'll already see a better version of it if you book. :D

We originally booked at Roy's villa, but they were overbooked, so they recommended Ala Addara, but we could still participate in all the activities at Roy's. I would recommend asking if you can do the same thing. Our room at Ala Addara was a very good value. We were very happy to pay USD 25 (the same price for 1 dorm bed at Roy's!) to have a 2m bed in a large free standing bungalow with a very high ceiling. Extra points for the very hot shower with amazing water pressure!! We didn't encounter this elsewhere in Sri Lanka and really, really appreciated it.
