The location is idyllic, providing a serene backdrop perfect for a romantic escape. The infrastructure is outstanding, blending comfort with nature seamlessly. A special shoutout to Neel Chanfrasiri for the incredible culinary experience; the food was nothing short of amazing! The service team went above and beyond, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was enjoyable. The first and obvious thing to say about this hotel is that the view from the bedrooms and the public areas is utterly spectacular especially the top floor. Literally breathtaking. The staff was very pleasant and did their very best to make us comfortable – we were only there for one day but would’ve loved more. Definitely stay there if you are in the area.

This is a magnificent property and our experience here was the perfect end to our 3 week visit of Sri Lanka. Only a 10 minute drive out of town yet the location is such that you feel a world away - completely surrounded by nature; the forest, the lake, the gardens, so many birds, giant bees, shy leaf monkeys (only one sighting!) we even spotted a huge lizard swimming past in the lake. The rooms are generous in size and perfectly appointed. While everything about the villa is just perfect, the standout for us was our host. Generous with his time and knowledge, discreet but available for any request or question. So many wonderful conversations covering a very broad range of topics! Panduka you made our stay so much more memorable - we thank you.

33 Lake Terrace was absolutely beautiful. It was peaceful, the rooms were stunning, the pool area was lovely, and breakfast was excellent. I truly couldn’t fault the staff! Out of our 18-day trip, it was our favourite place to stay.

Very good and quiet place to stay. Just a few rooms, familiar atmosphere.Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, tasty selections for dinner. Small requests were fulfilled directly. I don’t often write reviews for accommodations, but 33 Lakeside Terrace is a property I felt I must share my experience about. The manager, Panduka, was exceptionally considerate and helpful, always looking out for the needs of the guests. The staff were also very polite and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. The property itself offers a stunning view of the lake, providing a calm and relaxing atmosphere. My wonderful experience here is largely thanks to the outstanding hospitality of Panduka and his team.

Food was slightly expensive when we compared to restaurants we visited

We had a great stay at the Lake Terrace. The location is beautiful and peaceful, and the room was nicely decorated. Even though it rained for one of the two days we were there, the setting was so lovely it didn’t take away from the experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially with our vegan diet, making sure we had enough food options. The town center is a short 20-minute walk or a £1 tuk-tuk ride away. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing stay.

I’d say the only thing is the food is very expensive if not included in the room.

The property is an amazing little oyster, It is pretty much at the end of a road so super quiet and peaceful. The staff were amazing and we actually met the owner while we were there.

An absolutely fantastic place to stay. Probably the best on our trip to Sri Lanka. Many people want to stay at beachfront properties when they visit hikkaduwa, we stayed at a beachfront property and ended up cancelling our reservation after one night because it did not meet our expectations. Instead we luckily found 33 lake view terrace and ended up adding an extra night stay because of how perfect it was. The staff were so very friendly and the manager is exceptional. The rooms are immaculate and designed beautifully. We had two rooms booked and the view out of both rooms was incredible. The breakfast was the fresh and cooked to perfection. The lunch was also fantastic and very very reasonable. The 3 night stay was very reasonable. When we arrived to our next accommodation up the coast we wondered whether we should go back to lake view terrace. I will be back to this place and I will be recommending it to as many people as possible. Thank you so much for an exceptional stay.

The location is convenient by tuk-tuk to Hikkaduwa beach. The rooms are beautiful, each decorated differently. breakfast and dinner were ample and delicious. The best part was the manager, a very helpful and interesting man. We hired a boat with driver and enjoyed better-than-expected snorkeling outside the reef.

The property is absolutely stunning. Amazing attention to detail. A slice of tranquility yet only 6 mins drive away from the hustle and bustle of the local beaches and town. The staff were faultless, nothing was too much. The Host Pandu was incredibly helpful and attentive, he made us feel at home immediately. Also, his previous experience as a tour guide shone through, telling us lots of interesting things about the area as well as Sri Lanka itself. The chef was also incredible, the Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious. Can't recommend this place enough.
