The lighting needs improvement. There is no light in the kitchen (we brought a tent light for this thanks to other reviews). 2 of the 3 bulbs in bathroom were out and light in living room didn't turn on via a switch (couldn't reach pull string so not sure if the pull string, bulb out or in general not working). Roosters and dogs making noise but you'd hear them staying anywhere right in Soufriere. Could use blackout curtains in bedroom. A/C unit temperature display is very bright at night but, there is a fix! There is a button on the remote that turns off the display.

The place was clean and spacious. The shower is nice and big, with glass, so no curtains sucking in to you. Everything seemed pretty new. Bed is comfortable and they give lots of pillows for options. Adequate dishes and all you should need for appliances big and small. There was beer and water in the fridge - such a nice touch. Enjoying that drink on the patio is lovely! The view here is great. You see the town, a piton and ocean. The location is good. It's in a spot where you get a piton view but don't have to go up high within the village, so while the road isn't great it is nowhere near as bad as the roads to some of the other places further N and NE in Soufriere. We walked to everywhere in town and only used our rental car for things outside of town. Great value for this place! If you want a nice view, clean, modern, private and convenient place to stay at a good rate this should be one of the top contenders.

AC not available in kitchen, living area. Lighting in kitchen very poor. The bathroom sink blocked but was not fixed after asking the host. Be happy with the local cocks and dogs who get verbal quite early.

Fantastic view, especially from the bedroom, nice balcony, comfy and spacious. All in all a great apartment.

Air conditioning is only in the bedroom (common and expected in this part of the world), but we could only partially open many of the windows so was difficult to get a breeze. Otherwise the space was perfect for us.

Location was very good - close to grocery store and walking distance to beach. Definitely gives you a more local experience compared to resorts. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The space was clean and comfortable.

Slightly longer walk down to the town and beach than we had anticipated and for those in hire cars be warned that the road to the apartment is very bumpy (as many in St Lucia are!)

Really lovely apartment. Modern, stylish and well kitted out. The view from the balcony was gorgeous and well protected from the regular showers giving us a wonderful place to relax.

The apartment is beautifully furnished, wonderful view of the Piton. Very close is super restaurant Fedo's, supermarket is 5 minutes walk, 15 minutes to the beach. Even Diamond Falls are accessible on foot. Owner helped with booking taxis and local tours. Helpful and nice lady. I did not have the slightest problem with the accommodation.

There was almost no light in kitchen so if you wanted to cook after dark it was challenging. Also there were no bedside lamps in the bedroom.

The apartment was modern and clean. It was well equipped and the hosts were attentive and were quick to react to any questions we had. Lovely view of Soufriere and petit Piton from the balcony.

You can park in front of the building, but the street is quite narrow so you end up blocking the entrance - just a minor inconvenience. Also the streets in Soufrière are quite difficult to drive on, but this is true for most of the island.

It’s brand new, we were the first guests. Incredible mountain and sea view both from the balcony and the bedroom - perfect for watching sunrises and sunsets. Well equipped (all kitchen appliances you could wish for, toiletries, towels and beach towels etc) and the hosts (Isaiah) are very helpful and friendly. They carried our luggage, got anything we needed, and also offered to organise trips. The AC is very quiet and efficient in the bedroom. Very convenient location for Pitons, Grand Eden estate, Anse Chastanet, mud bath, botanic gardens, waterfalls, anything in the South. For lunch, Fedo’s nearby is excellent. For groceries Massy offers great variety and it’s only a few minutes walk.

The location is great, less than 5 minutes away from the town. The place is fairly new, so everything works and is in a great condition! The hosts were always reachable and responded promptly....

The aircon did not extend beyond the bedroom except in the form of a high ceiling fan which moved the warm air about. Bizarrely, there was no light in the kitchen area at all, and we had to use mobile phone torches in order to cook in the evenings. The apartment is approached by 36 outside steps: not easy if you are carrying suitcases. As a relatively fit couple in our 70s we just about coped, but be warned!

La Pelle is situated in the New Development area in the back streets of Soufriere, about 20 minutes walk to the centre of the town by a variety of routes and about 7 minutes from a good supermarket. It is part of an attractive looking building and has an excellent view over Soufriere towards Petit Piton both from the balcony and from the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom very effectively air conditioned. We were met on arrival and shown around the property, and it was useful to have this contact while we were there. The main room was very sizeable with a high ceiling, large new kitchen and big dining table.
