As some others have reported, the WiFi performance in my room was very poor to the point of being unusable. The signal is strong, but the speed is very slow. In the breakfast area, the speed is excellent so they should be able to easily fix the performance in the rooms with some better routers.

It appears that the entire hotel complex is gradually being renovated to update the facilities. The main wing of rooms have mostly been updated now and are very nice. A lot of thought was put into the updates to make to rooms modern and comfortable. The property backs up right onto the Central Park and is in a nice residential section of town. The surroundings are very quiet at night. The breakfast buffet was good with a lot of items to choose from.

The wi-fi was very weak in my room. Also found it a bit overpriced.

The hotel is quite nice, with clean and large room and bathroom. Good view to the park out the window, quiet at night, and large breakfast. I mostly stayed chose to stay due to the property's history with the cosmonauts.

A wonderful place not to be missed. We had a very comfortable and nice bedroom opening on a gorgeous terrace overlooking the park. The breakfast is exceptional and the sauna and swimming pool facilities are an undeniable plus! We loved our stay in this historical and well maintained building. We'll be back!

The bar had "run out" of local beer, like lots of hotels seem to round here. Only expensive imports available. Just a suggestion, but it would be nice to see the hotel make more of its past as the host for Soviet cosmonauts.

Stayed here before and all was good, so stayed again. Staff were friendly and efficient, breakfast was plentiful and, obviously, location next to park hadn't changed. Lift available to help with pram. Room was large, clean and comfortable, worth paying the little extra. I like the hotel and it's Soviet charm, would definitely stay again.

The history of seeing the photos of Yury Gagarin and other former guests; a clean and comfortable room with everything you need and a great location - it's just a stroll through the park to the main sights of Karaganda.

The building is Soviet style, the room is spacious and comfortable. There’s drinking water in the hallway, a kettle in the room. Everything is perfect. The staff are very helpful and they found me a driver to go to the labor camp museum. I really enjoyed my stay.

Poor sound isolation. We could hear our neighbours from the room next door talking. But fixable with earplugs.

Very clean hotel. Good location, very quiet, yet central, just around the corner of central park. Great breakfast with delicious food and many varieties, from eggs, to sweet, to porridge, to fresh fruit. Staff fills up breakfast all the time, which is a great plus. Kind and helpful staff. Spacious rooms with big shower and very clean. Comfy beds. I will stay here again, when visiting Karaganda.

After prompting from Booking.com I had upgraded to a Comfort Junior Suite. However, the room we were offered didn't match the Booking.com description. I.e. it didn't have "a sofa bed, sofa and chairs seating area, two balconies, etc" and it wasn't double the size. Had to negotiate with reception via GoogleTranslate back to a Standard Twin room at the Standard Twin price. This Standard Twin room was perfectly fine but the hotel needs to change its listing if it can't provide what's offered there.

Nice refurbished rooms. Good breakfast with hot and cold buffet. Amazing lounge. (How do they clean those windows?) Short walk into town.

The annex where the astronauts stayed was being refurbished and thus not open.

It was the history that attracted me- Gagarin and Tereshkova and other astronauts having stayed there. It is a pleasant place if a little away from the centre.

They could play more into the history element, as this would interest a lot of people. More work on the grounds, such as plants would be a nice addition. The rooms could use a couple of historical photographs, perhaps.
