Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt would have been helpful if the hotel provided visitors with a map of the area showing burial grounds, temples, shrines and other antiquities.
Excellent breakfast, warm, friendly staff. The rooms were very chic, and the bathing area almost as big as the sleeping area. This would be a great romantic get-away. The bath was more than big enough for a couple. The location could not have been better. You are right next door to a park with many burial mounds. The roof top lounge is also delightful. Rent a bike just a few blocks away to see the attractions.

PolandThere are a few downsides of this traditional setup (e.g. poor storage or uncomfortable mattresses) but they are made up for by the advantages. I would not recommend this hotel for a long stay but for 2 nights it is a perfect experience!
The view! Just overlooking the park with the ancient tombs. It seems to be the trendiest spot in town. The bathroom is huge and the whole room is quite unusual.

United KingdomThe extra ‘bed’ to make it into a three bed wasn’t really comfortable, but the staff provided us with an extra duvet to sleep on when we asked for it!
Amazing location, everything is on your doorstep. Lovely interior style influenced by a hanok but with modern comforts. Nice and clean and spacious. The staff were lovely and breakfast was great.

I loved the perfect location. It was so easy to access all the amenties and all the popular historical spots. The facilities were great and the room had a cozy atmosphere. Large Hinoki-style bath tub was especially fantastic. The manager and staff were very kind and helpful.

SingaporeThe main room window has a great view but no blinds- makes it hard to sleep in if you are sensitive to light.
Great location- just outside the burial mounds. A bit further away from the busy street but that gives it a sense of serenity with easy access on foot ~7min to the main restaurant area. Great staff - V helpful. Simple breakfast but satisfying. The room amenities are great

AustraliaNothing.
Everything! It was such a beautiful little gem in Gyeongju, right next door to the burial mounds. There’s also a new modern art gallery that opened across the street the day we arrived which looked fab. The rooms are stunning, with lots of little personal touches and gorgeous amenities. Our room had the tatami tea nook and a deep soaking tub, both of which we greatly enjoyed. One night, we brought some drinks and snacks to the rooftop and sat soaking up the view while the sun set. The staff are so welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay, despite speaking little English (it was helpful to have a translation app handy if you don’t speak Korean). Breakfast was delicious and an absolute highlight.

LatviaBeautiful hotel, stayed with a friend for two nights as we travelled through South Korea. We really appreciated the traditional touches, the tranquil setting and the very kind/friendly hosts at both the check-in desk and the breakfast. The breakfast is small but sufficient, do not forget to ask for the yoghurt bowl- super tasty.

AustraliaPBr7 hotel is at an excellent location with easy access to the main historical sites of Gyeongju - the burial mounds are right next to the hotel, the historic site with observatory, Donggung Palace, Seokbinggo, Pagoda etc is only 10mins away by bus. This bus stop is 1minute from the hotel. The rooms are modern, clean and very quite. Our room also had Le Labo hand and body wash - which smelled fabulous. Breakfast is included and the staff are very helpful.

United Arab EmiratesI would just say that the twin room might be too small to share with a friend, unless you are super close to them. But this is a personal preference only, so it did not affect my view of the hotel.
One of the cutest little boutique hotels I have ever stayed at. The rooms are spacious, so beautifully minimally decorated and designed. The bathroom is on another level. Only a few rooms so it makes the whole place very cozy. The people (family?) running the hotel are so cute, they went above and beyond to accommodate food allergies and last minute requests. I was so sad to leave. Location is perfect too.
