Breakfast wasn't worth it at all. My room was right behind the front desk and facing the road, it was loud and I needed to buy earplugs.

Great location in Hongdae area. Close to metro and walk to happening area. Convenient for a short stay in Seoul.

Great location with cute streets behind the hostel. The staff helped us with buying local concert tickets, this really made our day! Easy laundry service. Coffee machine is a plus.

Location was really good! You can access Yeonnam-dong through the B1, and Hongdae is just a few minutes walk away. There were also a lot of cafes nearby so it was really enjoyable for a coffee lover like me! The meeting place for the DMZ tour we got was the subway station a few minutes walk away. It’s also connected to the all-stop airport express train (cheapest option to get to and from the airport) Space was small, but it was expected for the price we paid. We just took out everything we needed from our luggage and put it under the bed. They served simple breakfast in the morning and it was quite nice. We love that we can just get water, coffee, tea, or heat some takeaway food at the lounge. Overall, our stay was really good. Would recommend to our friends as well

Good location and easy to get. The hostel have me detailed map soon after reservation. Room was small but enough to open my suitcase and sleep for one night, I would call it “cozy” :) A lot of plugs equipped in room, good for all travelers. The front guy was extremely nice and kind, offered a lot of help, thank you!

The rooms are a little squeezy. Okay for solo travelers but perhaps a little challenging for couples or small families.

This is probably one of the most value-for-money accoms given its close proximity to Hongdae Station Exit No. 3 and the price. Hotel is also very clean and well-maintained and in the middle of a bustling area full of restaurants and cafes.

The only problem we had was payment. Not one of the 6 cards we had (both debit and credit and from the UK + AUS) worked to pay for the room. We hadn’t had a single problem with our cards prior to this. The hotel staff said this was common and we needed to pay in cash. The staff checked us in regardless and allowed us a couple of days to get cash. We had to go to multiple different ATMs to get enough cash which was quite stressful. I would recommend Cleo does something to fix their system, allow for payment through booking.com, OR at least tell customers to bring cash. The breakfast is super basic, just toast and packaged biscuits and drinks. Totally fine in a pinch if you need to get up early because most cafes in the area don't open until 10am.

Great room, small but comfortable and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, room was super clean and The location is AMAZING. They have a back door that opens onto a series of streets filled with places to eat. We were spoilt for choice whenever we stepped out for cafes, restaurants and boutique shops. The proximity to Hongdae’s various theme streets is also great to explore.

It's about 6 mins walk from Hongdae station exit 3 to the hostel, but it's upslope. Maybe difficult for travellers with heavy luggage.

Staff are very nice and helpful. They speaks good English and always have smile on their faces. My stay became much easier and memorable because of them. Rooms are very clean.

These are cons but not deal breakers: The breakfast was not great for someone who is vegan (there were some cute-looking pastries, but they may not have been vegan-friendly), but the juice boxes were great. Mango FTW! The room was small, but that was expected. That said, there was still enough room that it didn't feel super cramped for a solo traveler. There was no full-length mirror available, but if you need to check your full outfit, the reflection inside the elevator will do in a pinch.

Hostel Cleo was by far the cleanest hostel or hotel I've stayed in. The staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly. I am grateful for them! Inside the room, the big window made the small space feel so comfortable and lovely. The property itself is nice and well-taken care of. The bed was so comfortable, the body wash smelled good, and the slippers inside were nice and not nasty and crusty. It was great to have a mini fridge inside the room; a total perk for a hostel. The lounge on the B1 level was great to have, also nicely decorated and clean. Having a 24-hour coin-op laundry was also such a wonderful perk. I was concerned the hostel would be too far a trek from the subway station, but it was not; it was a 3-5 minute walk. The location was great, surrounded by so many shops and gorgeous cafes, plus the beautiful Gyeongui Line Forest Park. They also had umbrellas for the guests to borrow and a (bare) patio on the fifth floor which was nice to take in the view of the city.

Didn't like the shower space because there's no space, the shower head 🚿 was holding by the sink. It wasn't easy to take a shower

Love everything except once i went to take my breakfast around 9:30 and the cleaning staff came start opening the doors, leaving them open and it was really cold (january) talking loudly, it was really uncomfortable. They didn't care at all
