Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsMy one disappointment was that our room was in a back-of-the-property corner, so it did not offer any of the charming views we had seen on the fotos and had expected.
The place is beautiful and centrally located amidst charming restaurants, cafes, stores and attractions.

Absolutely well located in the heart of Gyeongju, the staff was incredibly friendly and the place gorgeous.

FranceThe location is quiet, although just off the main street with its many shops and restaurants. The site itself is very pretty, especially when lit up at dusk! Close to many sites of cultural interest, there's plenty to do on foot in the surrounding area! The staff are very friendly and helpful when needed.

AustraliaI think it was worth staying here for the overall experience and location! The grounds were lovely and clean, and the accommodation is directly in front of a cafe with a nice view and salt bread. The futons were a little firm, as expected, and there was some noise from neighbouring rooms in the mornings but everyone was respectful in the evenings. The rooms were very comfortable and had heated floors and good air conditioning and heating. It’s very easy to access all the attractions in the area from here, and we also found it easy to walk to and from the intercity bus station.

United StatesBit small, walls are also very thin. But good value for money, can't complain too much!
Super cool to stay in a Hanok during our trip. Wouldn't stay here for more than a night though as the bedding is traditional style floor futons and very rigid pillows. The bathroom is also Korean traditional style where the shower, toilet, and sink are all one wet room. Loved the location, is right in a great walking neighborhood and super close to the tombs. Easy to get a taxi or uber to elsewhere in Gyeongju for other site seeing. They also have Hanboks for you to try on and wear on the property if you wish.

SingaporeBathroom had a weird smell - Sink was a little mouldy - The lack of a proper table & couch made it a little uncomfortable to relax at the end of a long day—everyone just lay on the hard floor and huddled around the small table to eat our food
Room was toasty, floor was heated, beds were AMAZINGLY comfortable - Free bottled water was really nice! - Staff were really friendly and helpful—they pointed out places to visit on a map and allowed us to keep our bags in the lobby till we had to leave! - The location is great, really near a street full of shops and things to eat and see - Place was really quiet, we couldn't hear anyone else

SingaporeDrainage in Toilet shower not good. It ‘floods’ just after a 5–10 mins shower. Booked the family room that can accommodate up to 8 persons, but 1 toilet. We have a large group, thus taking turns to use the toilet can be very long.
Facilities are basic. Good experience with Hanok. They also have free hanbok rental. But I didn’t use it as I am out during the operation hours.

United StatesCoffee in the room would have been great, there was only tea. Also the little beanbag pillows were certainly more historic looking and worked okay for sleep, but it would have been nice to have some big fluffy ones to be able to prop up in the bed to watch TV.
This beautiful and historic property is right in the heart of the area of preserved tombs of kings. It also is beside the busy tourist area of restaurants and shops so it's easy to walk to everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even offered to take pictures of me in my hanbok on the property. You can rent hanbok there as well and for a small fee buy food to feed the koi in their little pond. They do have some English capabilities which was so helpful.

AustraliaIf you are not used to the futon style bedding you may find it a little uncomfortable. I found it was good and the family slept well. The towels provided in the bathroom were more like hand towels than a bath towels. When I asked for larger towels they were provided one night but not the available the next. These are apparently typical sized towels in Korea though. It would have been great if they offered breakfast as nothing much opened locally until 9.30am-10am.
This accomodation is in a traditional Hanok style village and it was central to many of the tumuli, transport and main shopping street. The staff were lovely. We were accidentally given a room for 3 which was smaller than what we booked but they quickly remedied this. They helped by giving a map and an orientation of good sights to visit as well as calling a taxi for us to get to the train station. The heated flooring was really nice to come back to after a cold day out and made sleeping on the futons very snug.

AustraliaStaff seemed a little unhelpful, flustered or annoyed at times when requesting a taxi, asking to store luggage on checkout and when lugging our luggage to the suite. The paths are more like stepping stones or cobbles so not easy for heavy large luggage
Beautiful accomodation. Large suite with 1 large bed and traditional floor sleeping for 4. Pillows were little and felt fairly hard with beans, but were surprising comfortable to sleep with. Was a lovely way to have a more traditional experience. Location was great, within walking distance to all the major tourist spots
