Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAs in most places in South Korea the towels are very small but here at least the owners were on site.
The guesthouse was only a 10-minute walk to the town centre and 5 mins down to the harbour. I don't think many people were staying there when I was there as it was very quiet. I enjoyed my stay.

United StatesThe breakfast was lousy, but it was only 4,000 KRW, would be better just buy some eggs off them and get your own fresh bread, cheese, and Jeju tangerine juice, it was lousy cheese and white bread.
The staff were so lovely! So kind! Their big huskie was the sweetest! You feel like home, they let me practice my Hangol with them and gave good advice of things to see, love the area, they're centrally located and a great spot to access the waterfalls and hikes along the coast, near the main bus from the airport (catch the bus 600 every 25-35 min at the 600 bus stop in the airport (Limo Express Bus) and drops you off at a stop a 10ish min walk to the Guest House, very easy to get to, nice upstairs kitchen that allowed for cooking breakfast with a nice view

South KoreaI absolutely adored the quality of care I received from the staff. They were incredibly thorough and attentive. I felt so welcomed and comfortable in their space. The interior was very eclectic and clever. Most of all, they patiently helped me navigate the intricate bus system for my early morning flight! Lastly, I've attached a photo of the guesthouse first floor, along with some of the nearby attractions they recommended. P. S. They have the cutest dog EVER ❤️

ItalyThe property itself was fine but we soon realized it’s very difficult to stay in the south without a car. So we only stayed 1/4 nights booked.
Cute guesthouse with friendly staff. Loved the decor. Our room was simple and had a slightly musty smell but the AC helped. Lots of bus stops nearby.

This cosy guesthouse was perfectly located, offering easy access to cafes, the market, and the seaside park. It was wonderfully quiet, and the toilet was spacious. We especially loved the charming antique decorations. The hosts were incredibly kind, providing excellent recommendations, advice, and public transportation options. They also have a water refill station. Excellent value for money.

GreeceFor this price there is nothing I can complain about.
Is it old, yes. Do all the facilities work properly, yes. Will I stay here again when im in town again, yes! This is exactly what it is advertised as: A gueshouse. If you expect the style, amenities, and facelessness of a hotel, move on. As a guesthouse, it is really cosy, even quirky, very polite and helpful staff, nice roof-terrace, and best possible location in Seogwipo. Wifi is great - had to have a few work video-calls and was able to do them perfectly fine. The dog (which is ineed really sweet as all the other reviews state), must be the laziest dog i have ever seen - you need to walk over it. A few days in I though it was a fake, but indeed i saw it yawn.

PhilippinesBed is a little hard but i find that to be quite standard in South Korea. Surprisingly, it fixed my back pain so it's peobably good for the health! 😂 Also note that there is no elevator so it's something to consider for those who have mobility issues. I personally enjoyed the little exercise to reach my room on the 5th floor. In general, I really have nothing to complain about.
Lovely guesthouse. Ended up extending my stay from three nights to five nights. It was so homey and Mr.Kim's family were so kind and helpful. Can't wait to come back here when I visit Jeju again. The decors were so cute and adds character. Location is unmatched. It was a 15 min walk to a waterfalls. Also has a cosy rooftop where you can work/or chill.
