Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI wasn't able to locate the guest house on Naver when opening Naver from booking.com directions. A friendly Korean tourist called the guest house for me, and the owner met us and guided me to the guest house. The name of the guest house is written only in Korean letters on the white stand-up sign placed at the guest house entrance alley from the traditional market. The number on the guest house room is given as a Korean character. The lock on the guest house room seems like it could be easily broken. Better signage that includes English would be a great help.
Futon on the floor was surprisingly comfortable. Location is a two minute walk to Haeundae Traditional Market. Each guest room is a chalet and not within a larger building. This is basic traditional Korean style accommodation, meaning a futon on the floor, hangers for storage and a bathroom that combines sink, shower head and toilet. There is a floor drain, so you can take a regular shower. See the listing for other amenities. Good for light travelers who are comfortable with basic accommodation.

South KoreaVery basic, but still good.
Couldn’t have a better location really. You get what you pay for but can be cosy if you make the most of it. Staff were friendly.

AustraliaThe only downfall was the ‘bedding’ which were two very thin futons. My partner and I ended up stacking the two futons and one of the blankets into a pile to make it a little comfier.
Great location, in a lively part of Busan surrounded by markets and restaurants. Owner had little English but was accommodating when needed. Accomodation was very easy and simple.

South KoreaThere were not enough basic facilities like room mirror, lotion. Entrance is on the way from fish market, so quite smelly
Price was low

GermanyThe worst part about my stay was sleeping on a wavy, bumpy floor on a bunch of blankets (not even proper futons). The next day, my back and shoulders hurt so much that I cancelled the rest of the stay and booked a proper hotel. Why the travel agent booked this place for a price higher than a common, nearby hotel I had to book on the spot is absolutely beyond me. This is basically a small uncomfortable room with a minimalistic kitchen and a claustrophobic cold bathroom attached to it. The insect-smeared walls of these little buildings are so thin that you hear noises all night; I hope that the cat won its fight against whatever it was fighting with all night. The door's lock was so simplistic, you could easily open it with some force.
Nice location close to the Haeundae beach and a straightforward, easy check-in process.

Very nice and cozy place. It's quite simple but really nice and you have everything you need. The location is amazing, very close to the beach and market.

Irelandfuton is a bit too thin, but I guess thats just the Korean style futon
Booked this place for the 3rd time now during my 3rd time visiting Korea and it never fails, the place itself is really nice big enough for two and since its inside Haeundae market looking for a place to eat is not hard, either look for a place in the market or go to the square and eat there very close to the beach so lots of places to go to and see subway is just 5mins walk away and the bus stop is just a few seconds walk, will definitely book again in the future
