How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Typical korean shower where whole bathroom gets completely wet when showering

Advertised as 350m from Gyeongju station. Unfortunately this is not the KTX station which is about 13km out of town (I should have done my research more thoroughly).
Nice small hotel. Very clean and quiet. Close to local food markets. Nice breakfast with good coffee supplied.

Window is against the wall of next door building, and personally we didn't like the bathroom shower setup
Spacious simple room. Self-service breakfast, self cooking (egg, cup noodle) and clean-up everything afterwards. Lockers available for luggage, hence not many lockers though and depends on luggage size availability

Style over function. No where comfortable to sit in room. Light shelf on headboard prevented sitting up in bed. Chairs looked good but not comfortable to sit on

Batht towels are very small. Shower no curtains or separated with toilet, after shower : very wet. No heater I’m bathroom: before shower very cold.
The receptionist are friendly and nice.

The location wasn't that interesting, and the entrance was a little hard to find for taxi drivers. Would probably recommend a hotel with more amenities and services for a longer stay.
Clean, simple budget hotel, perfect for a short stay. The woman at the front desk couldn't have been nicer. The room was well-sized.

Walls and floors are not sound proof. Room above us was very noisy, moving furniture and walking loudly for many hours, all night long, so was hard to sleep.
Great location, close to everything. Staff were lovely. Breakfast is average.

The hotel is located very near a local market so the streets near the hotel are a little dirty.
The room is huge and extremely clean. The staff are friendly and professional.

Everything was just nice. The room was as described and clean. The brief encounter with staff was delightful. You walk in and feel welcome. Breakfast was simple but offered enough choice. This place is understated and unpretentious. Modern and uncluttered. Everything works. It’s not cheap but you feel like you are getting value.

Our AC didn't work in the first room. Location is a little funny. A bit far from the bus with two.small kids and the fish market nearby is a bit much on the nose as you step out each day. Recommend staying near the Fashion Street where the streets are far cleaner.
Decent accommodation. Very clean. Our AC didn't work but they were able to move us to a smaller room and give us use of a neighbouring room.

Is next to open market place. Smell terrible. Not hygienic place. Don't looks like a picture. Around is so poor really poor neighbour and place. The recepción is so bad. Really don't book this hotel

Shower was barely warm. Adaptors provided did not work properly. Large towels were not provided in the room, we didn’t realize until the end that you needed to pick them up yourself from the common room. Staff was not friendly

Friendly staff, big and comfortable room. Location is convenient - near bus stops and within walking distance of attractions. There is also a free basic breakfast (bread, ramyun).

Liked the location. Very close to many attractions. Also liked that the dining area is open all the time. You can bring your own food and eat comfortably there. And, of course, availability of laundry is a big plus

Although a kitchenette is provided, no utensils or crockery is provided. We went to Daiso and bought cups and spoons so we could make ourselves a hot drink.
Easy walking distance to the attractions- burial mounds, palace, observatory etc. Comfortable and clean although we were not told how to renew towels (in a drawer in the breakfast room). Breakfast is basic but adequate and you have to wash up your own plates.
