Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything was great but it was very quiet when we went. It didn’t have the same social aspect as other hostels but if you’re looking for something more akin to a hotel at a great price point this is for you.
We had a great time at Bokre Angkor Hostel. It was a great place for us to relax; offering great food, helpful taxi services, and a good value tour of the local temples.

CanadaMinor, but wish there were more hooks in the room and bathroom. There was only one. Hard with towels, and rain jackets, drying out clothes.
Quiet area, but not too far away from supermarkets, restaurants.

VietnamIt would be nicer if they can install an elevator. Because the highest floor could be up to the 6th floor, and sometimes moving is difficult.
Very hygienic and was usually cleaned by staffs. Comfortable bed, have a decent bar/restaurant downstairs, also have a pool and outdoor sitting area.

PhilippinesWe had a total of 17 luggages, half of it were big ones and half were hand-carry. So you better prepare your way up to the 5th floor (dorm-type room) carrying your luggages using the stairs.
We like everything about our rooms that we stayed, family room and the 6-bed dorm type room. Perfect for 9 people in the family. Good place to stay just in the central area of Siem Reap. The staff were very accommodating. Also has meals to keep you full especially their delicious meals.

United KingdomWe had a fantastic stay at the Bokre Angkor Hostel. We stayed for two nights on a short trip to Siem Reap. The hostel was relaxed and quiet, with a lovely outside courtyard and pool area. The room was a good size and we had an en suite. The hostel offer free filtered water and a free pick up service from the bus station which was great. We also booked a private tuk tuk driver to take us around the Temples of Angkor on both days. This was well priced for a private driver to take us anywhere we wanted for 6-8 hours ($20). Our driver, Mr. Liam was excellent and offered us free water during the trip. The hostel also offer a to-go breakfast and coffee which is useful for early sun-rise trips. The food there was also really nice too, and it's located a short walk or tuk tuk from key areas of Siem Reap. Given the price, the stay was exceptional. I would recommend to anyone!

GermanyThe place is somehow lacking the classic hostel vibe as written above feels more like a hotel. They offer free pickup from bus stations (which again is very nice and not expected at that price level). However they screwed up my pickup. Nobody was there and after calling them they first assured me somebody is going to pick me up soon but 10 minutes later he suddenly couldn't come due to 'technical issues'. The whole thing cost me an entire hour which was quite annoying after a 10 hour minibus ride...
The place calls itself a hostel but it feels rather like a hotel. My room was large, came with aircon, fridge, kettle, hot shower with good pressure and the bed was the most comfortable one I slept in during 4 weeks in Cambodia. It's not located directly at the centre but you can walk everywhere easily.

BrazilNot really social, felt more like a hotel.
The staff was so kind! The cafe downstairs served good food, and it was a really peaceful place to work. I really appreciate the option for an early bird breakfast for those going for the sunrise at Angkor Wat.

United StatesThe rooms are not the most soundproof so it is best to sleep with earplugs as many people wake up early for sunrise at Angkor Wat.
Very nice clean hotel/hostel with excellent staff. Comfortable beds, good scooter rental. Walking distance to town center.

SwedenWe slept in a bunk for 6 people, it was very cheap but still felt clean. We spent most of our time in the hotel restaurant though. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even though we ordered all possible cocktails several times ($3 each).

ArgentinaWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Siem Reap. To start, they offer a free tuk-tuk service to pick you up from your arrival point, complete with a sign bearing your name. The process was smooth, and the service was incredibly welcoming. The attention from the hostel staff was impeccable—everyone was kind, warm, and helpful. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. Our room was spacious, equipped with everything we needed, and had a large window that allowed plenty of natural light to fill the space. We also appreciated having access to a water dispenser with cold and hot water to refill our bottles, supporting their mission to reduce plastic waste—a great initiative! Additionally, we rented a motorbike through the hostel. The process was quick, practical, and reliable. We didn’t have to leave our passport as a deposit, which we consider a major plus, as this is often a red flag for us. Lastly, we purchased our tickets to Battambang through them, which included pickup from the hostel and drop-off directly at our next hotel—everything was flawless. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we ever return to Siem Reap. អរគុណច្រើន 🙏🏼

United StatesOne side of the building is occasionally noisy due to the alley that runs along the side of the building. We asked if there was a room available on the other side of the building. We had to pay extra as it was a larger room, but it was worth it for the quiet.
Staff were excellent. Cafe in the hotel is convenient. We didn't mind the location. It's easy to manage with TukTuks and we would not have liked to be near Pub street. There were plenty of good restaurants and cafes within walking distance.
