Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalThe location and authenticity of it is a huge advantage! Koemle is very kind and caring host, without his help we wouldn't be able to enjoy our visit to Angkor Wat in a full! We received a full package service: meeting at the airport, late meal, whole day tuk-tuk and taxi back -- everything for a very reasonable price and with a kind soul!

Czech RepublicMy wife and I traveled to Siem Reap, Cambodia, like many others, to experience the beauty and magic of Angkor Wat. This trip was part of a two-month journey through Southeast Asia and Japan. Even though we don't belong to the youngest generation we enjoy organizing our travels ourselves, and this year was no exception. Cambodia was a new country for us, and the main challenge was deciding where to stay. By chance, we discovered Koemle Homestay. We prefer to avoid hotels in favor of experiencing local life and culture as much as possible. Staying with the Koemle family turned out to be as enriching an experience as visiting the ancient temples of Siem Reap. As agreed, Koemle picked us up at the airport upon our arrival - on time and in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. It felt like we had already become friends during the 50-minute drive to his home. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by his entire family: his lovely wife, Chinda, and their four wonderful children—Maryta, Elliya, Outra, and baby Kitakun. Koemle Homestay is a small apartment attached to the family’s main house. It has a separate entrance with a tinted glass door, a spacious main room with two very comfortable beds (comparable to U.S. queen-sized beds), and a large bathroom featuring a glass-enclosed shower. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The living area is tastefully decorated with a few pieces of furniture, a wardrobe, and amazing large photographs taken by Koemle Saing himself (he is a professional photographer). The apartment also has a small front yard filled with tropical greenery, providing a shaded oasis from Cambodia’s hot and humid weather. We usually enjoyed our breakfasts right there. The house Is located on the outskirts of the city, far enough to offer a taste of Cambodian countryside life yet close enough to reach Pub Street within about 15 minutes by tuk-tuk. After our experience, we wouldn’t trade this type of stay for any hotel in the city at all.

SerbiaThere is no thing we didn’t like.
Accommodation is so beautiful, from the furniture to the little details. Everything is so clean, it smells really beautiful. The little garden, where you have complete privacy is cheery on the top. It feels like you are in the jungle. The most important part is the kindness, hospitality and advices you get from the whole family. It goes above and beyond. We enjoyed so much and it definitely exceeded our expectations. We send our love!

VietnamKoemle and his family were very welcoming. The homestay was clean and beautiful and his photography and the art on the walls is beautiful. They made homemade breakfast each morning and invited us for dinner and drinks in the evenings. Koemle also arranged for a private tour of the temples.

GermanyKoemle and his family are amazing. They are super nice and helped me out a lot. At first it was a little bit hard for the Taxi driver to find the location but Koemle helped us out and we managed to find it.

United StatesStaying with Koemle and his family is pure joy. If connecting to the local culture is your travel goal then this is a safe and supportive place to do it. Koemle is generous, engaging, and trustworthy. There is no problem he can’t help you solve. The unit itself is cool and shady, next to the main house but tucked away and private. The seating porch is perfect for morning coffee (just ask Koemle). Let Koemle help you arrange a tour of Angkor Wat complex because he is well connected to talented guides and drivers. A wonderful stay!

United KingdomExcellent stay at Koemle’s. Really welcoming family and the room is clean and spacious. Koemle’s place is in a rural setting close to the airport but the centre of Siem Reap is easily accessible by tuk tuk. He arranged for us to be collected from the airport by his friend Mr.Hak in his tuk tuk. Would 100% recommend Koemle’s place and the great Mr.Hak - excellent trip around the temples and was always available for a lift back to Koemle’s.

United StatesA bumpy, dusty road (in what feels like the middle of nowhere) will bring you to this wonderful Homestay. They were so welcoming, helpful, and kind. I left my wallet and they were generous enough to drive back to the airport to deliver it to me. It’s a 5-10m ride to the airport and they have an SUV to take you. Comfortable, clean room which a large bed and bathroom. Very well set up for a close stay near the airport or for a long-term trip if you want to feel a part of a local community (and enjoy the Zoom school teaching English). Please support them! It’s worth a stay!

The room is very clean and cosy, with comfortable beds, a large shower area with sweet smelling fluffy towels. The owner, who stays on site with his family, is very helpful, friendly and gracious host. He helped to design a temple tour package with tour guide and driver, with a packed breakfast thrown in. It was great chatting with him over breakfast and hear how he is building capability and sustainability in the village, as well as admiring his photographs of local people and places. Although a bit far from city center, it is near to Angkor Wat and 5 minutes to airport. The owner is always ready to call a tuk tuk to the city. A fantastic stay!

United StatesCan't think of a thing.
Koemle was great at communicating with me before the trip, and picked me up at the airport, a short distance from his home. Koemle also helped arrange for a tuc tuc driver (who was also super reliable) to take me to the temples, including the early morning sunrise at Angkor Wat. He has a bike available if you want to travel on your own around town. I was made to feel at home and invited for dinner of traditional Cambodian food which was wonderful and a great breakfast on my return from the early morning temple trip. The room I stayed in was big, modern, and supplied with those amazing tiny bananas and dragon fruit, coffee, and tea. The bathroom, also modern, had an enormous shower.
