How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I know this is not their fault but of course if the whole guesthouse is made out of wood you hear everything from your neighbors and the slam of the doors
For the price its excellent, staff were nice, just 2 min walking to the main pier and beach in the area. the room was spacious and even only with fans it wasn't never really hot, there was wifi but basically non existing as it was really slow, but this is normal in the whole island so I know it's not their fault but if you have data that works great.

we had to take our shoes off and leave them downstairs. a dog stole one of my hiking boots and they didn't seem to care. I tried to extend and had to wait hours due to language barrier(which is okay but a little difficult when needing to make plans in a timely manner)
great value and the staff are kind.clean room.

It’s a simple place but you have everything you need : nice room with a bathroom. It’s a wood house so sometimes could be noisy. The family even if they didn’t speak so much English, they are nice and help you if you need. The location is perfect. For the price we have nothing to say.

No soap in room. Power cuts(not PSK) fault.
Mr pow and family are always very nice hosts. Good value for money.

This place is nice but it's rustic, spartan. A guesthouse, not a hotel. So there isn't the privacy or amenities of a real hotel. It's more backpacker lodge which is fine if you're okay with that.
The staff was tremendously helpful and kind. They oriented me on what I needed to know around the island which is a little tricky. They were warm and welcoming.

Was a big room with two queen beds. We got two towels and the room had two fans. Was great for the value but the door didn’t close in the bathroom and the sink had a leak. Rented a scooter for $8 tho, overall good for the price you pay.

The room description said there were mosquito nets but we didn’t have any. The only time I got bitten on the island was staying here. The bed had a fluffy blanket that wasn’t very nice to sleep under. We could hear a lot of noise and movement from the room above, we could see there were some cracks in the ceiling.
Decent location about 3 mins uphill from the main road. One of the cheapest places to rent a bike ($8 with full tank free). The helmets we got were cracked so we had new ones bought for us.

The walls are thin, so bring earplugs.
This is a lovely, traditional Guesthouse, situated 3 minutes from numerous bars & restaurants. It is spotlessly clean & the staff are wonderful. £10 a night for a double room en-suite (single occupancy) is an absolute bargain. Book early as quality accommodation at a cheap price is hard to find on Koh Rong.

WiFi didn’t work in our room and even on balancing was inconsistent. Lots of outside noise all night, dogs barking, rooster that doesn’t care when dawn is, but easily make up sleep napping on beach.
Quick walk down the hill to the beach, loads of food and bars near by, five minute walk from pier. Very cosy. Shared balcony area .

Stayed here many times Mr pow is a very nice chap and it is great value for money. Only downside the walls are thin so can be a little noisy.

Some of the guests made noise after 10 pm. That was louder.
We loved our stay here. The owner is friendly and helpful, the room was cosy and there was a mosquito net.
