How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There were a little bit of noise from the restaurants and laneways
Patio Hotel is a quirky hotel with lots of original artworks on the walls. We loved its atmosphere. The rooms were clean and a good size. Breakfast was great with lots of different options. The location was great. There were lots of restaurant options available in the laneways behind. Our favourite place was the rooftop bar and the pool. You had specular views over the city. The staff were lovely. We would definitely stay again.

- WIFI was spotty at times throughout the day - Lots of noise at night (from what sounded like bars and partiers). This happened on the weekend nights only - Rooms not soundproof (could hear neighbors yelling and loud banging at doors)

The hotel is a little oasis in the bustling city. Set back off a road meant we had less traffic noise. The property itself of gorgeous and nothing is too much for the staff.

The food and beverages could have been a little more affordable.
We absolutely loved our stay at Patio. The staff made us feel like we were at home, they were lovely. We enjoyed the breakfast, swimming in the pool, the aesthetic of the rooms (we had too rooms) and the hotel is extremely clean. We had a hiccup on the first night, but the staff were very professional, and it worked out a treat.

Not a big issue but the way the shower is angled and the seel on the shower door allowed a lot of water to get out and stream into the rest of the living space /bedroom so we'd end up going through more towels to dry it up.
Great location, great breakfast, epic view from the rooftop, friendly and helpful staff.

The rooms are nice and the rooftop pool is great. The location is also very strategic because the hotel is surrounded by very nice little restaurants and bars. The breakfast buffet with additional options à la carte also very good. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

The area is a bit noisy
A great hotel for the price in a convenient location. The staff are lovely, the breakfast was good and the roof top pool has the most amazing view of the city. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed for 2 nights and was very satisfied. The hotel was clean and well located. There were restaurants and pubs nearby, which was convenient, and the palace and riverside were a 20-minute walk away. The delicious breakfast and the wonderful rooftop pool were enough to wash away the heat and fatigue of the trip. Especially the beautiful sunset at the rooftop bar and pool will be a long-lasting memory. And, above all, the staff was very friendly. Thank you so much. ;)

I always go to Patio whenever I come to Phnom Penh. Not only is it a good quality price for the location and facilities (pool, breakfast) but the whole staff also makes a big part of it ! If you go to the bar, talk to Vireak, he'll be great service and conversation 💫✨ thanks to him, I also learnt many thanks about Cambodia! 🙏

The staff were so unbelievably kind!! The rooms are cool and rustic. I liked the stone shower it was cool and massages ur feet. The only thing I didnt like is uncontrollable by the hotel but the outside noise is annoying. Bars blasting music and loud drunk people. Other than that I enjoyed my stay here. They have a beautiful pond in the lobby with cute baby turtles! 🐢

The place was very nice, modern and perfectly located. The view from the rooftop is great. The breakfast is nice. The staff was adorable and helpful. The rooms are not so big, but very functional. The only criticism is the noise: the hotel itself is quiet, but noises from the street (bars, screaming cats, traffic) can be heard through the night.
