How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe location is very good with sea view. It is close to village market which is easy to find varieties of food to eat.
The room was made from glass wall with no window that makes it very hot during the day, though it has air-conditioning. It was not comfortable to stay inside during noon time.

Verified reviewhotel is at the end of the street so we had to drag our suitcases walking all the way from the port through the sandy street. We called the reception to ask for pick-up with Tuk Tuk but they refused to, with or without extra payment. After check-in we realized that the rooms are all uphill so another walk up and same for everyday going to the beach or coming back to the room. We would have booked another hotel on the beach for the similar price if we had known the actual location.
Dear Rosy thanks for taking your time to review us, Frankly! let us sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by unintentionally that happened during your stay , we are developing country in southeast Asia we got the water from the mountain and electricity from the government gigantic generator, that's why we often face this kind of problem , however, we did try our best to solve the problem of all our values customer including you Eventually, you lied to us about the motor bike accident , and we almost paid for the repair bill , we didn't make you in trouble for pay the whole fixing bill , but your review seem a bit unfairly for us , we didn't write about our bungalow located on the beach front and not also our bungalow is sea view thanks best regards Ocean lounge bungalow Team

Verified reviewUpon check-in, we were advised by hotel staff to cancel the booking to help them avoid the fee and receive discount on our stay. We luckily did keep the first night via Booking.com so now we are able to leave a review. Bed is ok, room is not as it looks on pictures and wifi does not work. We had to go to other hotels and cafes everyday to get internet connection. There is no hot water and water pressure is low so taking shower takes a while. We rented a bike from the hotel and one side mirror got broken. The bike repair shop told us they could replace both mirror for $7 but advised us to give the hotel $5 for the broken mirror. Turned out the hotel insisted us paying $20 while we paid $27 for 3 day rental ($9/day). Obviously it was a rip-off and they "kindly" offered a small discount so at the end we paid $18 for the broken rear mirror that should cost less than $5. We tolerated the not so good things until they ripped us off at check-out. Not recommended to stay here!

Verified reviewNothing about the property, since the name and the location were both misleading.
Though the location was stated to be near the beach, within walking distance, no mention about the steep incline to reach the place was given, hence with a large family of infants and elderly we found it extremely difficult to go up the incline with our luggage. The steps leading up to the so called bungalow were too narrow to climb, with any bags in hand. One of our family members had a fall due to the narrow steps and uneven floor in front of the rooms. The rooms were extremely hot during the day due to the walls entirely made of glass that gave a glass house effect. The bathrooms were curtained by glass almost transparent and visible from the outside, and such rooms could only have been used by couples. The pics given in your website are definitely misleading in the size and the design of the rooms. There was no one to guide us or help with room service, breakfast options or tour options as would be expected in a bungalow sort of hotel. Very poor service in fact. Some amount of comfort is expected of any resort, hotel or stay, which was unfortunately missing here. They should change the name of the hotel from ocean lounge bungalow to something more appropriate to what it actually is.

As an older couple it’s a bit of a climb to huts, we used to get Tuk Tuk back from main area as hill very steep. So if you have mobility issues maybe not for you. Staff so helpful with luggage, even bringing it to Pier on motorcycle

Verified reviewSo beautiful out there , beach really nice they offered me the free kayak to went around the whole island , the bungalow is amazing view, i have seen the whole ocean from my bungalow, staff were outstanding , they assisted me all the services along my stay , i should stay more nights out there , the food and bar at the restaurant was perfect with chilling out music but i would like to explore another bungalow Thanks To Mr. Viseth who always made my day
