The mattress was a little too soft for me but maybe others like that. One small complaint is that the shower never really got warm but since the weather was hot I did not really mind. I never asked the staff about it and if I did they probably could have solved the problem.

The location was great. Room and building beautiful. Very, very clean. The staff were wonderful: helpful and friendly. Breakfast was extra but it was very good.

However, this time i heard loud music coming from neighboring pub or bar? Owner might want to double check where that loud music was coming from, because it does not help to sleep well and fast.

Great location, as always. Thank you again Sovat for the support during my stay.

A nice, clean, mostly quiet place to rest and recharge between days of temple explorations

I stayed five nights and for the most part it was nice and quiet, but some of the other people staying on Friday night did not pay attention to the “Please Be Quiet” signs at 4am Saturday morning (when they were getting up to go see sunrise at Angkor Wat), so they woke me up—even with earplugs. But that was just a couple of rude guests, not the fault of Le Water Villa.

My room was comfortable with a big bed and a little refrigerator (so I could come “home” after a hot day to a chilled drink!). The location was nice because it was just around the corner from a place that sells ice cream and icea tea drinks—and it was just down the street from a fantastic Mexican restaurant called “Maybe Later”! The young man (“Sovat”) and young woman (I didn’t get her name) at the front desk were very helpful! They helped me with renting a motorbike at a good price, and lent me a smaller umbrella than the big unwieldy one I had brought with me—very helpful!

They should revise their breakfast policy. Although they claim breakfast is available from 6:30 AM, staff actually tell you to come at 7:00 AM because no one is there to prepare it earlier. This wouldn’t be an issue if it weren’t for the fact that most tours to Angkor depart early in the morning, making it important to have breakfast on time. In our case, breakfast was consistently served late.

Very nice hotel, well located within the city—very close to a supermarket, places to eat, and a money changer. The included breakfast is a great added value, and the room was clean and spacious.

Decent Stay, But Could Be Better – More of a Hostel Vibe
    • Leisure trip
    • Group
    • Deluxe Twin Room
    • Stayed 2 nights

Our stay at Le Water Villa was just average. We booked a Deluxe Twin room and were given one on the highest floor (3rd floor), but there’s no elevator, so we had to climb the stairs. Thankfully, the receptionist boy helped carry our bags up and down, which was much appreciated. The air conditioning wasn’t very cooling, even at the lowest temperature, and the nights were a bit noisy. Location-wise, it’s quite convenient—tuk-tuks are always around, and it’s close to Pub Street and the night market, so there’s plenty to see and eat. We were mostly out during the day, so the stay was fine for two nights. However, on our last morning, there was a power outage in the whole area. Luckily, we were ready to leave, but it didn’t seem like the hotel had a generator, which would have been rough at night with no aircon. Some things felt a bit off—when we checked in, we were told the TV didn’t work, and there were no bathrobes or safety deposit boxes despite what was listed on Booking.com. The twin beds and pillows were large and comfortable, but the towels had holes. The bathroom setup wasn’t great either—no shower curtain, so everything (including the toilet paper sitting on the tank) got wet. Also, the second-floor balcony door was left open most of the time, which meant plenty of mosquitoes inside. If you want tea, you have to ask, as only coffee sachets are provided by default. Overall, this place is okay if you just need a basic stay and plan to be out all day. It has more of a hostel feel than a hotel, so keep that in mind.

Mosquitos managed to get into room constantly. Is a basic place, however is reflected in room price and was not a concern. Is no space in room to relax other then bed, again reflected in room price

Location was good being walkable to most places around city. Staff were very friendly and polite. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Was good value for price.

TV didn’t work but we were told about it at the start. To be honest it mattered not a jot as we never watch tv when travelling!!

Great staff. Friendly atmosphere, good location, helpful reception staff and always very polite. They fixed a problem with our basin instantly. The place had a friendly dignified air to it. Very recommended.

The tv didn't have TV stations.

Big comfortable room with good AC, nice hot shower. Staff were helpful, especially Sovat and Patrick. And they got me a nice tuktuk driver Mr Morn who took me around all the temples. The location was perfect to go to pub street in 5 minutes, but also in a little hipster area with nice cafes and craft stores on the doorstep.
