Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyWant to give more than 10. This is one of the best places I've been to. We extended immediately and where very sad when we had to leave. Please try this place, the staff and volunteers are the kindest people I've met. I promise you won't be disappointed!!!

United StatesThere were a lot of mosquitoes in our bathroom, but that’s to be expected in an open air bathroom.
The staff is very nice and very attentive. The food is really good and there are lots of options. The resort offers a variety of activities and equipment — we particularly enjoyed the sauna and ice bath and open gym area. Lots of room to lounge around in the sun or shade.

Not enough words in the english language for this one - absolute paradise. Cannot sing their praises highly enough, in fact I flew to Cambodia purely because I wanted a jungle/island/beach vibe and this delivered in spades. The whole team are phenomenal and it feels like one big community. The vibes are soooooo high. And don't even get me started on the food - holy mother its good. Do yourself a favour and stay here.

United KingdomWhat a serene, wholesome and spiritually enriched place. It has everything you need for a spiritual getaway to recharge your energy. The staff are fantastic, very helpful and friendly, feels like a family full of big hearts. An array of things to do. Inc and not limited too: the art room, meditation walk, board games, pool table, table tennis and a music room. I got to try playing the hand pan which is something I always wanted to do. I stayed in the sea view mixed dorm. View is amazing, beach is beautiful and very empty. Beds in the dorm aren't super comfortable, but you get what you pay for and the view is worth it. This is really a bare basics place, with VERY limited WiFi and even limited electricy. This doesn't bother me. But it is worth noting, as long as you can cope without those 2 things at times, then this island experience will be worth it. I think Kactus is a wonderful place and I hope to visit again one day, thanks Kactus team for a great experience, one big love 🤍

IsraelSeaview dorms have “hole toilets” which was annoying at night when there was no power or water. There wasn’t as much activities during the day than I though will be.
The environment was very calm and nice. The staff was kind and fun to talk to. It was a great experience giving up the cell phone for a few days

NetherlandsOne time, we had to wait for 2 hours for our food and had to remind them 3 times, but perhaps it was just a one-time bad luck. Not a big deal.
This place is great for relaxing in Koh Ta Kiev. They managed to build a nice and comfortable hostel while still having the feeling of being away from civilization and close to nature. Friendly and helpful staff, great food, and plenty of activities to do, both for free or paid tours. The beach is beautiful and a great spot to watch the sunset everyday Definitely recommend this place.

GermanyThree words: Explore the island! Yes, go to the Elephant Rock (and the near view point!), go to the fishing village (but carry a stick), go the other beaches and walk the Meditation Trail. Trust me, it's worth it. The resort is located directly at the Plankton Beach wich means that in good nights you can just walk two or three meters in the water und move - you'll see the glowing plankton! As expected the food is very expensive when compared to normal mainland prices. The good tast makes up for it, though.

GermanyThe smell of compost during the day wasn’t the best, I could be a little further away from the bungalows I would suggest. Don’t expect a super comfortable bed, it’s gonna be hot and there are no fans (which is obvious since you’re in remote island where electrify is scarce)
Out of a castaway dream, if you want to feel isolated from the real world and live your blue lagoon fantasy but also love a hippie vibe this is for you

IndiaI had the most wonderful time staying at Kaktus for around 2 weeks. The property is beautiful, surrounded by forest and sea on the two sides. Kaktus also offers various paid (kayaking, boat tours, hikes, snorkeling) and free activities (yoga, meditation, art, music) which keep you engaged throughout the day. I spent my days alternating between lazing on the hammocks and hiking and snorkeling off the various beaches. The volunteers and staff are really friendly and helpful, making the experience even better!

United StatesBathrooms could be cleaner. They seemed to miss a day while I was there and it got a little hard to navigate.
If, like me, your constant travels finally catch up to you in the form of a nasty little flu/ cold you couldn't ask for a better place to lay low and recover. Chicken soup, ginger tea, lots of hammocks to sleep it off and an extremely attentive staff. I wish I'd gotten to participate in more of the activities but from what I saw those that did had nothing but great things to say about them afterwards. Some of the warmest water and chillest beaches you'll find in Cambodia.

United KingdomThe staff were quite unfriendly on occasion and also chaotic. The place is packed full with bossy signs instructing you to enjoy yourself and lead a better life!
Not many of the cabins are actually beach fronting, but our one was and it was very comfortable and well appointed. The food is delicious and there are lots of comfortable seating options as well as a fantastic stretch of beach with good sunset views.

The place and setting are amazing. Simple tree bungalows/dorms and a big common space/bar below trees in the sand with the most amazing beach view. We've been travelling for 6 weeks in SE Asia so far and this is easily our favorite place. It's rather basic and the Internet hardly works but that's part of the charm. We stayed 3 nights which was great, could've probably added another night. Many activities you can join against a donation or small fee and generally chill people here. The atmosphere is impossible to describe, just go here! Shared bathrooms were better than expected and very clean. The food is good too!

United KingdomAs we extended our stay would have been good to have fresh towels and clean sheets as we stayed for 5 days in the end and the hut wasn't cleaned during our stay. not the end of the world but would have been good to have a refresh.
Beautiful location on a private beach. Beach huts were nice and had everything you need. They are basic rustic huts but we enjoyed our stay and extended our stay. Be warned if your scared of spiders this probably isn't the place for you.

United KingdomNo fan in the room can make it very hot at night. But I understand the reason for this was because of the eco friendly vibes of the place. Quite pricey activities on offer for what you get.
Peaceful, secluded location within the nature. Daily activities, friendly & welcoming vibes.
