How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Excellent service. Eg … I could park my motorbike on the premises for the night after a dustfull, dirty drive. To find it fully cleaned the next morning. Pick up for a tour at 6 AM. No problem? … mom will make breakfast. Really … hidden gem and great value for money.

The WiFi was a little erratic and sometimes didn't provide a constant service. There was a great selection of TV channels, however the reception was sometimes poor and the service would be interrupted. The TV also had a blotch in the middle of the screen.
What a pleasure it was for me to stay in this guesthouse. I was always warmly greeted by all staff and was appreciative of the support afforded me with local information. I was supported to book my bus trip to Bangkok, given information about visiting the temples, and when checking out staff made inquiries for me with the bus company which was late collecting me. I enjoyed the variety at breakfast and was given a packed lunch for my bus trip to Bangkok. My room was spacious. The air con was great and the neighborhood was generally quiet at night.

The wifi strength and signal can be way better. Signal strength should be strong enough to pickup on the second and first floor even if guest are not close to the router. Also consider having a gate attendant that can let guest in after late hours so guest don't have to call or notify one of the family staff to open the gate late at night.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Hot water is available in the showers and they have ceiling fans and A/C units too in each room. Breakfast is delicous and accomodates dietary options for vegans and vegetarians like myself. Family is very friendly and assist in any questions or concerns guest may have. There is a water dispenser to refill water battles. Location is near most tourist attractions and is in walking distance of restaurants. local food stands and a supermarket.

This place is just wonderful!! The staff is so lovely making your stay superb! They helped with everything, always with a big smile:) and kept on giving me water and that was just lovely!! The breakfast is simple but delicious with some fruits, coffee, eggs and bread..perfect to start the day. The room is spacious, and it has everything you need. The AC was also a big help with the heat! The place isn’t so far from the centre and it felt really safe to walk to it (being a solo traveller that’s also a good plus) I really recommend this place!

The AC worked but could’ve been a little stronger… the room was pretty big so I think that it was not strong enough to cool it down.
We had an amazing stay at I KI I KI Guesthouse! The host went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. He was always smiling, gave us free water bottles when we asked, adapted our breakfast according to restrictions and even let us leave our things there for a whole day after check-out.

Don't like the toilet/shower wetroom type arrangement but it's not a big deal.
Very helpful staff and comfortable room with air con. Convenient for the temples but not too far from the town centre. The food was good too. WiFi is reliable.

The family who run Iki Iki are amazingly respectful and helpful. Whichever way they can help they do. They can help arrange excursions and offered a very reasonable price for visiting the temple and tonle sap the same day. The rooms are basic but clean. The accommodationis a very short distance from the coach stop for people arriving from Bangkok. It'sabout 10-15min away from the coach station going to rantanakiri. You can find atm's nearby and suffient variety of eateries.

The host and all staff in IKI IKI are very helpful and warmhearted. The breakfast is very good. The shuttle and transport service from IKI IKI is very good, responsive, convenient and fair.

I think I would have liked them to say it was basic, fine for me, not sure if other guests know. The tuk tuk wasn't the best choice for the far away temple visit,
