Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandThe only downfall is that we wish we had stayed longer 🫣
We are truly grateful for our remarkable stay at Empress Angkor Resort and Spa. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. The complimentary breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious and offered such a great variety. Our room was spacious, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff’s ability to communicate in English was very helpful and made everything seamless. The resort itself is stunning elegantly designed and complete with excellent facilities and amenities that went above and beyond our expectations. We were extremely lucky to have almost the entire place to ourselves 💗💗💗

United KingdomPool bar plays loud music all day and up to around 11pm, so relaxing by the pool is only relaxing if you like thumping club music playing in the background! If you go for the late breakfast sitting the hot food is cold. After spending a day or two just relaxing at the hotel we discovered that the hotel prices for food and spa facilities are around 10 TIMES more expensive than in the city! We paid $40 for a massage at the hotel and $4 at a massage shop in the city!
The building and interior decor are amazing. I wished I had more time to just walk around and look at all the carvings, furniture and details. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely swimming pool, with towels provided (although they don't tell you that). Ensuite had both bath and shower. Bath robes provided. New bottled water provided each day. Fridge, tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Far enough away from the city centre to be quiet. Beautiful spa facilities (but expensive)

United KingdomThe room was above the pool bar which played loud party music from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm!! It was impossible to relax. I asked the bar staff for quiet calm music one day when there were only a few people around the poolside relaxing and reading. They said yes but kept on playing the same thumping music. There are signs in the room asking guests to be environmentally conscious, which I'm very happy about but housekeeping staff turn on all the lights and put the air conditioning on full blast!
Breakfast has good selection but coffee/tea are left on burners and get too strong (stewed). Staff are very friendly and helpful most of the time. We really like having both bath and shower in the ensuite. I like that the hotel is trying to be environmentally conscious (or at least it says it is)

ItalyBed sheets and bath robes had stains (bath robes even when we requested to have new clean ones, they anyway had stains). It happened multiple times that the personnel didn’t understand what we said in English (once even during breakfast, when requesting for an omelette). The rooms are old, in our room there was no shower but just a bath with an old curtain, and I definitely will not consider it a 5* hotel. One day we came back in the afternoon and the room hasn’t been cleaned (at 4 pm) Anyway the personnel will be supportive and try to help with anything!
The location is perfect to reach in few min Angkor Wat and the city center. Breakfast with a lot of choices. Pillows and beds were very comfortable.

The property is well designed, the rooms comfortable and sized generously, the bathrooms spotlessly clean, and the breakfasts substantial. Their spa is a delightful choice after a long day visiting the sites around Angkor. The staff is professional and extremely supportive.

United KingdomThe gym appeared to be closed - no lighting or air conditioning and without a clear idea of how to get these turned on. I am sure the front desk would have sorted this out should we have really needed it but in the event we went to the pool instead.
The staff here are wonderfully helpful and polite. the hotel and rooms are beautifully decorated in dark woods, a real pleasure to stay in. the pool area is spacious and comfortable. the breakfast is good and we found the room service very good.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff... The hotel, though clearly not recently built, is well maintained and pleasant. The common areas around the swimming pool, the bar, the lobby offer nice working spaces with good WIFI connections. The bedroom was large and comfortable The Breakfast offered a wide variety of options of Warm Dishes.

United StatesWhile the dining room was open for breakfast, the poolside bar was the only food option available for lunch and dinner. Food was good, but the full menu was not available, again awaiting more guests to arrive, but not a big deal.
The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The hotel is an architectural masterpiece. It looks like a teak palace with fine art, wood carvings, fine furniture in the lobby, etc. Hotel had few guests... Siam Reap has still not recovered from COVID, but tourism is picking up. The massage ladies were really good - the Spa was fantastic, although the sauna/steam room/giant hot tubs were closed, awaiting more guests to arrive. Exercise room and outdoor pool were great. Samuon, Sovanna, Ta and Poeurt gave exceptional service. Front desk arranged for two days of temple tours.
