Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomDidn’t really get the family and homely feel, everyone was very absent. Owner launched straight into upsell activities we could do. And then was absent the rest of the afternoon/evening. We and 1 other guest had pretty plain and cold dinner alone which was a shame after reading a few reviews about the delicious family dinner others had. Paid a little extra for the Aircon room and it barely works.
We were kindly picked up from Puok. Beautiful fields are perfect for a sunset walk.

Czech RepublicIt is fairly remote, and so you rely on Monyarch's taxi driving. It makes all the activities and sightseeing more expensive, and Monyarch is somehow fuzzy about how much will his taxi driving cost in total in the end. Also, there is no sleep after 5.30 when all their farm animals wake up and start doing their noises.
Monyarch is very nice and helpful. His home cuisine was excellent, very good and affordable food. I met interesting travellers there.

ThailandMonyharch’s accommodation was very basic, which was expected from the description, however the toilet leaked constantly when flushed and there was a strong smell from this in the bathroom and bedroom. Monyharch provided tours to the temples, which we did on our stay. We were however extremely disappointed with this service. It was agreed over text message that this would cost a total of $40 between 2. Monyharch then told us it would be an additional $10 for sunrise, which we agreed to as it was too late to book another tour. It was agreed for him to drop us in town afterwards, included in this cost, however when it came to paying, we were told that we would need to pay an additional $14 for this service, which was not made clear to us when booking. When we questioned this, Monyharch became verbally aggressive, and shouted at us that it was our confusion, not him being unclear about all costs, and despite us speaking calmly to him, we were told repeatedly that it was ‘his personal culture’ and ‘his authority’ to shout at us. This made for a strongly upsetting and uncomfortable stay, and we will not be returning. There were also other guests staying at the same time as us who left early for similar reasons. This was a highly disappointing stay, which we had really been looking forward to.
Breakfast was included in the price and the food was good. The location was also beautiful although very far out so tricky at times to get around/into the city.

SwedenI liked it all nothing to complain about
You get a real taste of the Cambodian countryside and a Cambodian family life, staying at Phonluer homestay, with a beautifull scenery next to the ricefields. Monyarch was happy to tell me about the everyday life and culture of the Cambodians. He took me by car to different locations Kulen Mountains, The Angkor Wat and other tempels, The floating village, mine museum, killing fields museum, local market, pagoda, village and farmlands etc. He can help you organize a plan that suits your interests and take you there. I got to experienced a lot in just a fiew days. He also cook excellent food! I'm really happy I chose to stay there for my first trip to Asia and Cambodia. I felt safe, well taken care of. I stayed 4 nights.
