Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We stayed at Anou’s home for four nights, and if it hadn’t been fully booked, we would’ve stayed longer. It truly felt like home—cozy, peaceful, and full of warmth. Anou is incredibly hospitable, kind, and just the sweetest person you can imagine. Words can't quite capture how lovely she is! She treated us to delicious homemade desserts and plenty of fresh fruit to snack on. We also had both breakfast and dinner there—everything was cooked with love using fresh ingredients she picked up from the market in the morning. You could really taste the care she put into every meal. She helped us arrange a scooter and even let us use her bicycles for free to explore the town. The location is perfect—close to everything, yet very quiet and calm. The room was spacious, the bed was super comfy, and everything was spotlessly clean. We absolutely LOVED our stay. Huge thank you to Anou for making our time so special. Highly, highly recommended!

The property is sparkling clean, with a very helpful host, who provides a lovely breakfast and cooks the most delicious evening meals. We have travelled to numerous countries and can honestly say that this is the very best guest house (or hotel) we have ever stayed in. Exceptional - we can highly recommend this property to any potential travellers, you will not be disappointed - outstanding value! United StatesI enjoyed everything
The hostess is what makes this property special. Everyone enjoyed her meals that she served. She has reliable, trusted contacts in the city, which gave her the ability to help us with anything I needed motorbikes or tuck tuck rides. I especially enjoyed the balcony. Her guest house is also located in the middle of a neighborhood with all the children, which made it very special

CanadaEverything was perfect!
Wonderfull calm safe guesthouse away from the hustle and noise of the city center but easily walkable or a short grab ride away! Anou, the owner speaks good english, is always smiling and ready to help make your stay perfect! She found us a reliable safe english speaking driver for our 3 days visits to the temple. Thank you Vouthy for your patience, your safe driving and your help in making our visits so enjoyable! We absolutely recommend him! We had the rooftop room with a HUGE terrasse. It was great! The room was very clean, very big, had hot water in shower, had good air conditioning and also a big ceiling fan. Wifi reception was very good everywhere in the guesthouse. It is possible to order breakfast or supper for a very reasonable fee! We had all our meals here ( breakfast and diner) and tried everything on the menu! Everything was absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients and love! We stayed 5 days and wished we stayed longer! We are retired teachers and have been travelling all our lives. Our stay with Anu was absolutely memorable, it felt like home! We absolutely hope to come back to Siem Reap next year for all the cultural reasons of course, but once again to share laughter, good meals and meaningfull moments with Anou once again.... Thank you Anou 🥰 See you soon!

Anou is an exceptional hostess and special human being. She took care of us with such kindness and generosity, from arranging transport, what to do, taking us to the local market, cooking classes, plates of fresh fruit and chatting. She fed us like my Grandma. A wonderful stay of six days in a large, clean room off a rooftop terrace.

Our room was very fresh and quiet and the little garden or terrace perfect for relaxing after long walks of visiting the temples. Anou prepared us a very rich and tasty breakfast, don't miss having dinner in her home which was delicious. You will be down town by a 5' tuk tuk ride or an easy 20' walking. United StatesThe kitchen was well-equipped except for a lack of a microwave, which was a first for us. Also note that this is a tropical climate and ants will be attracted to food if you leave it out rather than wash the dishes right away! There are also no TVs - this didn't bother us, but might be odd for some people?
We rented out the entire villa (4 bedrooms/5 bathrooms), plus kitchen/dining/living areas. This was a ton of space - could have comfortably housed 14 people rather than our 8. Everything was quite clean, the beds were soft and comfortable, and the showers were warm (once we figured out the hot water heaters). The home is down a little dirt road halfway between two major streets. The neighborhood was walkable to the downtown area, or else you could take a $1.25 tuktuk ride, and it was also an easy walk to the local market each morning. The WiFi worked Anou, our hostess, was just outstanding. She welcomed us with delicious snacks and fruit, checked in on us every day, and was quick to provide everything we could possibly ask for - laundry service, a missing kitchen utensil, a case of hard-to-find Coke Zero, whatever. She escorted us to the market the first day to show us the ropes and make sure we understood what fair prices should be, and put us in contact with a little nonprofit around the corner where we volunteered doing some English practice with local university students. They don't do daily cleaning, but came to clean or bring fresh towels/sheets anytime we requested it.

SloveniaThe road to the house is muddy when raining. The bathroom is very wet when showering, but dries up pretty quickly.
The host Anou was the nices person you could meet. She arranged us tuktuks all the time, woke up early to get us breakfast, lend us tools to wash our shoes. She cooks better food than you can find in town. The breakfast was spectacular, filled us for the day. The location was quiet and we could walk to the old market. But if you want, Anou has bikes too.

CanadaProbably one of our most favourite stays in Southeast Asia. Anou was so welcoming and kind from the very first moment we arrived. She gave us cold drinks, fresh fruit, all complimentary. When we had a problem with our AC, she arranged to switch us into a room and even moved all of our luggage over for us. Anou always made sure that we had everything we needed, and helped us to rent a scooter as well. Her kind, warm energy was much appreciated. Thanks for everything Anou 🙏🏼

United KingdomThat we had to say goodbye! We will return if our travels bring us back to Siem Reap again! We miss you Anou!
Anou was the most amazing host! She always made sure we had everything we needed, and the room was beautiful and SO clean! We stayed on the top floor where we had a really nice rooftop area to sit outside. The room had AC and was so big, bright, beautiful, and well decorated - this felt like a really nice hotel, and I say this as someone who has stayed in other places in Siem Reap. It was SO nice, especially for the price. Anou made us delicious vegetarian curry for dinner when we got in from our flight, saving us having to go into town, and she had great tour recommendations for Angkor Wat. She also arranged for our pickup from the airport for less than we would have paid elsewhere. To top it all off, Anou always had such a sunny disposition, and we were always so happy to see her! We can't say enough good things about her. We discovered only later on that she does all this on her own - we never would have known with the quality of service. Anou even apologised because she was going to get me a birthday cake but didn't have time - the best part is that this was the day BEFORE my birthday when we were already checking out! We weren't even going to be with her for my birthday, and she totally didn't have to even think about this, but she is just that considerate! Anou was the best, and we were so grateful for her. Thank you again, Anou!
