This place was 10/10 , spotless, comfortable , good space, beautiful kitchen, good and clean showers and toilets. You can do laundry for more than fare price, and you can store your heavy luggage before heading to hikes ! Wanderful

Not much! Perhaps a small thing to consider improving is to have a little shelf in each bed?

The lady who looks after the place is very friendly and super helpful. I struggled to book a train (maybe my foreign card?) and the owner booked it for me after I gave her the money. She also speaks great English. Very comfortable bed. Generally pleasant place to stay, calm vibe about the place. Great if you want to get sorted for the long hikes in the area.

Staff is very welcoming and very helpful, recommended good restaurants to eat in and helped us plan the Ala-Kul trek and explained how to get to the places we needed. Also let us keep our stuff in the storage room while we were away in the trek Very nice place overall, clean and cozy

- suggestion: a few more seats for outdoors space

- really deserves the high rating (i've been surprised at other kazh-kyrg highly rated places that really aren't so great) - owners live in house next door but readily present, and helpful with info - great dorm beds with light, curtain, power - enough bathrooms and toilets - great kitchen with 2 cooktops, fridges, and plenty of space - clean and uncluttered; excellent large lockers - one of the few hostels with has info board with some local info (could be expanded a lot for town features) - outdoor spaces: porch, yard, undercover area - location: 15 mins easy walk to central Karakol, through parks and streets - handy to other places such as Duet cafe and a bar nearby there

Spotlessly clean, beautiful views, seems to attract really lovely, friendly people, and Janyl the host was so welcoming and helpful! I particularly loved sitting on the hammock under the fruit trees in the garden watching red squirrels!

The hostel was recommended by a solo traveler we met in bishkek and I am glad I took the recommendation! The amenities - wifi, toilets, kitchen, showers, the patio, the garden were excellent! We stayed in the yurt which is for 2 people, It was our 1st yurt experience and we loved it 101%. It’ll get cold at night so ask for extra blankets just incase. There are fruit trees in the garden and we asked Janyl(the owner) if we could pick some and she let us. We got apples and pears for our hike. We wanted to do the Ala-Kul Trek and Janyl helped us booked everything which is very convenient - the transportation to the first bridge and the yurt we stayed in Sirota! She would help you with everything you need, so don’t hesitate to ask. If you’re into hostels then this is for you!

Probably my favorite hostel I’ve stayed in so far in Central Asia. Loved the outdoor patio and garden. Met really great people here, and the host was always available to answer questions and help with arranging activities in the area.

We stayed in the five-bed private room for 1 week and loved our time there! The room was clean, the shower was hot and strong, the shared kitchen had two stoves and plenty of pots and pans for cooking. There is also some lovely mountain view out from our room on the second floor! We particularly loved having our morning coffee out on the patio overlooking the lovely garden. Janyl spoke really good English and was very warm and easy to speak with. She lives just next door so it is easy if you have any questions or need help. All in all we loved our time at Nice Hostel and hope to return one day!

The hosts spoke English well and assisted us when we wanted to book bus tickets online. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the facilities were complete, including a washing machine, hair dryer, and kitchen amenities.

Jangel was a brilliant host. I was doing some walking activities outside the busy trekking time and she was super helpful and patient as it was difficult when many places are closed or closing. The facilities are good and I was able to do washing and relax. There are eating opportunities nearby and the walk into the centre is around 15 minutes or so.

Janyl is the perfect example of the outstanding Kyrgyz hospitality so her hostel quickly became our base camp between our trekking adventures in the Tian Shan mountains. We can recommend it to anyone staying here as Janyl speaks perfect English and can help you organise anything for your trip. There is a spacious common kitchen, a sunny terrace, a green garden with fruit trees, free and secure luggage storage and a good supermarket nearby. The toilets and showers are always clean.

We loved everything about our stay with Janyl at Hostel Nice. Even from before our arrival to kyrgyrzstan, Janyl was super helpful with all our queries. The hostel itself is very calm, clean and a peaceful place to be before and after trekking in the mountains. The facilities are great with a lovely veranda to chill out on and a very well stocked kitchen. The rooms are cosy and comfortable and nice hot showers. Janyl speaks excellent English and the whole family are super lovely. 10/10 would recommend!

I love this place! The garden and terrace are wonderful places to relax and meet people. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. I stayed in the dorm and the beds were comfortable and the room light and spacious. The whole place is cleaned immaculately every day. And best of all, Janyl and her family are wonderful, friendly people. Janyl has excellent English for all your questions, has lots of local information, and she obviously enjoys having guests from all over the world. I stayed more than 2 weeks, was welcomed like family the times I left and came back. It was hard to finally say goodbye.
