The shower was always cold and there was no shower gel or shampoo on offer. They were out of stock of some alcohol, so could not make any cocktails.

We enjoyed our time at African Dream Cottages, the lounge area, pool and surrounding gardens are beautufilly maintained by the helpful & hardworking staff. Our super comfy cottage was great, huge bed, handy kitchenette, great aircon and fan, big bathroom, authentic interior design featuring African art.

My friend was treated terribly when he checked in. His flight to Diani landed later than ours. He was checked into a cottage by reception then the white lady owner came with security and forcibly removed him as he was resting. Instead of doing a confirmation with the reception, she decided to remove him due to what she termed as a 'mixup'.

We loved the cottages and the swimming pool. The cocktails were really good too.

Needs better and newer pillows and nicer bedsheets. The bedsheet was very thin and too small for the bed. The bed should be made before travellers arrive.

I loved the place. Unfortunately I only stayed 2 nights, I was meeting friends at another place. The room is nicely decorated and offers kitchen facilities with a fridge, cooking utensils and a stove . Everything was very clean. There are also beach/pool towels. There is a table outside with 4 chairs to enjoy meals out. Although, like in any place tropical place there are mosquitos! The pool was absolutely gorgeous and so fun to enjoy. Really worth it. If you don;t want to cook or go out to eat there is a restaurant. I would definitely go back.

In the evening, better to reach the place with a Tuk Tuk, motorbike or taxi.

The cottage is beautiful with a magnificent clean swimming pool. The staff is amazing and always willing to help.

The rooms weren’t cleaned every day (mainly the bin wasn’t emptied and the bed wasn’t made). But after 3 days I asked for it to be done and it was done immediately. I think it was an oversight because the hotel was busy.

Accommodation was dated and in need of some maintenance. Beds were extremely hard and just a thin sheet over the mattress (without an under layer) which I thought a bit unhygienic. There wasn’t really a full restaurant service so advise guests to eat out.

Walk to the beach was OK during the day (500-700m along a dirt track) but location not great to get to in the dark.

Drinking water was not available and had to pay 2-300 ksh for every 750ml which is ridicolous. Have a water dispenser accessible to all guests like most other hotels!
