Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. JapanI didn't realize that it was the owner's house and he would be sharing all the facilities. There are 2 toilets and 1 bathing area. The bath had some surface mold on the outside (that didn't affect the shower usage nor did you have to touch it), but would be nice if the owner could get rid of it so that the bathing room feels more cleanly.
Really close to the airport and in a city known for pottery than you can explore the day before your flight! The house was extremely new and the door lock system was pretty high tech.

MalaysiaThe sound made every time I lock the bedroom door, which is an announcement that the door is locked. The bedsheet smells musty, and the blanket is quite thin. The common area and bathroom is next to the bedroom of the owner's friend, so I feel like I'm intruding when I need to use the kitchen to get some water or use the shower.
The place is near Tokoname station, and located in a quiet residential area. This is one of the more affordable place for solo travellers. Able to check in at 2pm instead of the usual 3pm. The room was spacious and just nice for one person. There are clear instructions on how to check in, however one important detail was not communicated to me, which is my room number. After realizing this, I tried to message the owner but was given the wrong room number. Luckily I managed to find out what my room number is from the pictures of the room in bookings. Needless to say, that was quite stressful since I have arrived at the place and wasn't sure where to put my bag. The friend of the owner who helps run the place is really friendly and helpful.

JapanThe walls are very thin, so you can hear people in the next room when ever they are talking. So if you are trying to sleep early you might not be able to fall asleep as quickly because of the noise.
I liked how easily accessible it was from the Tokoname train station. It is about a 6-9 minute walk to the station. There are also a few restaurants near the area, so you don't have to walk too far to look for food options.

JapanI think the following can be improved/cons: I wish the windows had blackout shades because it gets too bright in the morning. There needs to be a small table lamp or little lights above the bed (reading lights) because right now there is only one big main light. Both toilets need hand soap in the bathroom because the only place with bath soap is the shower room and if the shower room is occupied, there is nowhere to wash hands with soap. Finally, it is shared bathrooms and shared rooming house, and the walls are fairly thin, so it can get noisy if you are trying to sleep in-- there four bedrooms upstairs-- and I had the bad luck of staying at this guesthouse when there were other guests who woke up and were noisy and talking and socializing going from one room to another room (friends?) at 7am on a Sunday. When the guests left, it was quiet and peaceful. You can't control the guests, so I guess it was just bad luck. I would stay here again but I think I would bring ear plugs in case the other guests were noisy.
I liked the following/the pros were: beds and pillows were very comfortable; the bed linens and towels were good quality. The place was very clean. The location to the airport was fantastic. Costco is also 3 minutes away. Also, there is a good parking spot. The water pressure and temperature in the shower are good. The host was there and showed me how to work the keys and was very nice and kind. This place is very very clean and I had a decent night sleep. Airport is 10 minute drive away.

TaiwanThe host came into our room for garbage cleaning without telling us. And he took the linens away while we went out for breakfast before check out time. All our luggages were still wild open in the room, which is dangerous and may be awkward if you are hanging your clothes. The host didn’t respect the guests’ privacy at all.
It’s clean and new. Not too far from Tokoname Station. Quiet at night.
