It is not the fault of the Inn but infects chirping at night was quite noisy.

The staff was quick in responding to our questions. The availability of self serve laundry, especially the dryer. To be able to stroll the neighborhood.

The pendant light inside our room was full of dust and when my tall husband bumped his head on it, mountain of dust spread arpund the room and triggered our allergies, we had to take allergy meds that first night. We were there in peak of winter and the hot water looked like had a limit. When it was our turn to shower we inly had hot water for 10min after that it was plain cold. Good thing there is nearby onsen so we went there on our second day.

We made the booking for two adults and forgot to inform the inn that we were taking two small kids (1&5yo). But we checked through their website that one adult is allowed to bring one child. The staff was obviosuly surprised but they were able to accomodate us. The first room we got once you opened the door I already notice cigarette smell and it was so strong insode the toilet. We asked for new any available room, they were able to provide a room that’s tatami, which we prefer than the first room that has bed. It seems like the room wasn’t used bec of the thick dust on some areas. The food was AMAZING! We were there in new year’s and they prepared osechi meal in the morning. I woudl recommend this place for it’s food. The hosts are accomodating, kind and helped with our needs.

It is on a road with few other houses so it's isolated, no grocery/convenience stores nearby. It's a hotel between two destinations. It was cold at night and even under the covers and with air-conditioning my feet were frozen. Forget about the TV in the description.

This is a traditional hotel. Specious room with futon mattresses, saperated sitting area, private toilet. Very good Onsen is located 5 minutes drive away. You can make tea in the room.

Nothing. But just to share there is nothing around this area, the only transport is the Heritage bus which will bring you around this whole village, area of attractions follow the bus schedule closely. Transport is not cheap. The Heritage bus timing very limited so plan your day early

The whole vibes of this family owned Ryokan was warm & welcoming! 😊 Stay at least 2 nights Onsen pipe linked to a bathtub Coming from TAKAYAMA by bus reach the bus terminal change to the Heritage bus tell the bus driver your Ryokan or hotel name they will alert you when reach.

We experienced traditional japanese room style, which i love. Ryokan is on the main road, so bus stops right in front of the spot. They provide local cuisine breakfast and dinner, so you can experience local taste with local made tofu. There is Kuroba onsen (hot spring and sauna) walking distance around 20min.that we enjoyed. It was almost empty and peaceful. Ryokan's family is very nice and helpful, speak good english. They communicate with you before your arrival and arrange dinner if you need.

The food was delicious!! We had the shojin ryori choice which gave us a big variety of delicious food made with lots of love. The beds were very comfortable and you can use the hot spring tub.

The best thing about this place is the people. Wonderful family is running this small cozy Inn along the road to Shirakawa-go from Toyama. We could not find affordable Inn in Shirakawa-go, so we chose this one just 40 minutes away. Very nice rooms decorated with good taste and comfortable. Toilet and sink are available in the room and the traditional bath separately for men and women is located downstairs. It was interesting to try it. Very helpful and friendly family members were willing to communicate and give us advice. And great meals were served with care and in a traditional way. We enjoyed our one night stay there a lot. Great ryokan- simple clean room with a great view of the mountains. The owner gave us good recommendations for places to walk and eat. The place is conveniently located between the two world heritage sights, both of which are a pleasant walking distance! The dinner we had was fresh and delicious and featured local vegetables.

Older facility seemed to show its age, a bit dark and dreary on the inside.

The room was spacious and had a great view of the mountains. Very quiet. Pivat toilet was a plus.

Would be good if there is supper snack as there are no restaurants nearby.

The breakfasts & dinners provided are good. Owner fetched us from the Gokayama Interchange as we could not speak Japanese to book a taxi. Due to bus time table issue, owner also drove us to the Ainokura Unesco Village the wnext day.
