Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanIt is located in a quiet place. Having a car was helpful to go around. You are close to some spots and it is a good location to visit the north of the island and Kabira area.

PolandWe booked this place with breakfasts. Breakfast are ok. There are free bicycles available for guests but they need to be fixed, the steering handlebar is very unsteady in almost all bicycles. This place is in the middle of nowhere, we were aware of this and we liked it and after Tokio it was nice counterweight but be aware there is very little stores in area. Rent a car.

SpainThe final stretch of the road was a bit rough for the car, there were too many potholes.
Its location and its good value for money. The room was a bit bigger than it looked in the pictures.

United StatesIts location in Kabira is secluded which is great for those seeking relaxation and quiet but can be tough to find restaurants that are open. If you plan to eat somewhere or need a taxi, call well in advance to make a reservation so you don’t make the same mistake I did.
Excellent value and well maintained. The breakfast was simple yet filling and tasty. The bike availability was a huge selling point for me since I didn’t have a car (it was very hilly so I had to bike slow but there was no rush). It’s perfectly situated between Kabira Bay to the west and Yonehara Beach to the east with beautiful views in both directions. The manager was incredibly helpful in helping me with some last minute travel plans and notably responsive all around.

United StatesWe booked the option with breakfast as I read that the host cooks really tasty breakfast on the reviews. People were saying that it was homemade prepared when they sat down at the table... And in the reality the breakfast was in the fridge - all 3 days we had 2 breads each with different things inside, yogurt, coffee and tiny plates with few fruit peaces. It was tasty, but I personally loved the idea of having warm breakfast with some communication with local people and that is why I thought it was great to book this place. Maybe the comments on booking.com misguided me or maybe it depends on the season..? If we knew, we would probably just book option without breakfast and drive somewhere nearby. The beads at room 1 from my friends words had some springs coming out and it bothered them to sleep.
I loved how quiet and peaceful was this place! We rented 2 rooms at AdobeBase and overall loved our stay. Room 6 had great mattresses, me and my husband slept very deep there, especially counting there is no noise around=) Having the kitchen with microwave and teapot was amazing, counting the fact there are not many restaurants around that work late, so the food had to be heated up. The area is very beautiful, it's a relaxing village stay with beaches for snorkeling nearby (unfortunately the weather was not very helpful for us to do it). If you rent a car, this is a great place to stay and explore the northern area of the island, what we successfully did! We were allowed to use washing machine for free, that's was very very helpful! I am grateful for that.

United KingdomThe nearest super markets, even small ones like Family Mart are on the other side of the island so you need to be aware of that if arriving later in the evening as we did. There is a basic shop nearby but very limited and not always open. Shige helped direct us to a nearby place we could find later dinner. The bathroom had a standard toilet rather than a hi-tech Japanese toilet.
Shige, our host was absolutely lovely. He was so helpful, kind and informative and we really enjoyed talking to him. He also made a real effort with our 11 year old son. The room was really well sound proofed despite having rooms either side. It was helpful having the air conditioned eating area and microwave available any time as well as the washing machine. We loved being on this side of island, really green, beautiful and quiet. While you can't swim at close by Crystal Beach, it's great for walking along. Nearby Sukuji beach was perfect for swimming with a safe netted area.

SwedenThe beds were a bit hard. Those who weigh less than 70 kg do not notice it, but if you weigh a little more, it became a small problem. There were no mattress pads.
The breakfast was filling, varied and very good. It was homemade and was prepared when we sat down at the table.

United StatesBy western standard the beds are awful. Essentially metal springs with a sheet over them. I was able to double over a blanket to improve my sleep.
These are basic rooms in a very nice area. The rooms are quite appropriate for the price and I was satisfied with my stay. There are bicycles for use that are very handy for visiting the local restaurants and beaches. The hotel is easily accessible by Azuma bus stop Yamabare. The rooms and facility were quiet.

JapanThe road down to the hotel from the main road is poorly signposted and a bit rough'n'tumble. The first time I stayed, it was raining, I was on a (motor)bike and it was very hard to see the sign and find the hotel. The next time, the rough and scrabbly road had me very worried about the underside of the rental car I was in. Otherwise, no complaints. (Also. Yonehara bech isn't quite walkabale or swimmable from the hotel, but it NEARLY is.)
Lovely little spot a stone's throw from Yonehara beach. A mid/budget option run by a really cool couple. I've stayed a few times and I'll stay again. Nice breakfasts!

JapanThe host was just perfect: nice, welcoming, ready to help and give advice and local info. The location is very remote: you have to organize to get food (there is a very small and expensive store at foot distance); awesome as there is a beach for snorkling as an extension of the mansion. we went in mid december: off season; a bit cold; not perfect weather; but there nobody in the hole island. we went there by bike from city center: 20 km; it requires a bit of muscle but doable for mmoderately fit people and the path is goregeous. Plus doing this around by bike is perfect
